I’ve heard it all now!!

Yesterday, when i was doing my leg destroying workout….i got it listed on my blog from yesterday, A guy saw me at the football stadium and asked why do you put yourself through these exercises sir? I explained to him that i wanted to get in shape and be healthy and that I also just loved exercising. He replied well it looks like you aren’t enjoying it at all. I calmly said to him, "well sir it’s not a pleasant experience when i’m in the middle of a tough workout but its an even more unpleasant experience when you sit on a couch, out of shape, unhealthy, sluggish and sad". He cames back with another one. "Well i have seen too many times where people just worked themselves to death because their heart gave out." That is when i had had enough and said "sir, with all due respect, you don’t know what the he!! you are talking about. Anytime a person collapses after a workout or during one its because of underlying factors and not from the exercise itself." Ususally these people had been eating bad or doing destructive things their whole life and that lifestyle finally caught up with them. Those same people you speak of would have collapsed lying on their bed simply because they did not decide to take care of themselves earlier in life. The mind controls the body but your mind has ways of telling you your body has had enough, mine is when i start to se stars, dots and birds and fishes that aren’t actually there LMAO!! The guy basically had made enough excuses for why he didn’t want to work out that he was actually trying to lay a guilt trip on me because i was working out so hard. Like I always say, it’s a haters job to hate but if you hate yourself enough to not want to do anything that will benefit you long term, please don’t spread that hate around. Hope you guys have a happy 4th and eat responsibly…well who am i fooling , its a holiday, don’t fight the temptation.

Did you hear that Rush Limbaugh blamed all of the exercisers for the skyrocketing cost of health insurance? It’s because of injuries and surgeries from everyone’s crazy mountain bike riding and sports playing and gym going that caused this.

    He’s a nutball.

Fight the temptation?!! Not yours truly………No cheats since the end of May. I have a PLANNED cheat in the works for Saturday. Happy 4th of July……..and have a groovacious weekend. :D

Take a look at Rush. He is a loudmouth FATA$$ who hates anything that represents moving in a forward and positive direction. I personally wrote a letter to Barack Obama about putting a new more focused emphasis on healthier lunches in schools and the President’s council on Physical Fitness. I remember we had to pass thiose fitness skills before we could move on to the next grade

hi wayne, the things i always hear are your too old or your good enough .its like folks just have some underlying issue with people being in shape, they sure do like to look at all those in shape though! i guess it boils down to if they cant find the motivation to workout and get the body they really want then you cant have one either !i got news for them!

Notice: I have a strange view on life and death.

I would have chuckled at the guy getting on my case and stated that I honestly don’t mind if I die or live from the working out. I’ve vowed to succeed (at the weight loss) or die - either is success overall to me. At least I’m stronger, have more endurance, more willpower, and look better than he likely does. That and I have pride in what I’ve accomplished.

I’m with you on the underlying conditions thing. I’ve built up a LOT of strength in my heart - if I keel over from a heart attack, it’ll be because I induced it from and OD of caffeine or some such. It certainly won’t be the fault of a healthy organ (heh, blame it on an unhealthy organ, my brain!).

I just don’t understand that kind of thinking, why make excuses about not working out? Either suck it up and choose to work out or accept the fact that YOU are making the choice not to workout and realize that it is your own fault for any feelings that you might have because other people choose to workout and you don’t. But don’t try to make other people feel guilty for working out. Damn that guy was a loser.

  7. WaynesWorld Says:

Yeah. So many peopl are filled with self hate that they blame people like us for working hard to look good and stay healthy. They actually believe that we put pressure on them to look better and live healthier because of how we look. and feel.

I am late reading this but it is still right on time;) Excuses are meanlingless devices used to rationalize the failure of a task…………………….
