For all the haters out there….

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Why is it that every time you set a goal for yourself to accomplish you meet challenges and discouragement from people that should be encouraging you? I can see people on the outside world who don’t workout and make excuses for not working out trying to hate because they have little or no confidence in themselves,…or they are just too damn lazy to workout trying to discourage. I just ignore them. But when you have people on sites like this that come in and try to throw all kind of things up at you to change your mind, that just bothers me and totally pisses me off. Someone came on to my page earlier this month trying to basically tell me that i was wasting my time. This guy who had competes himself should have been encouraging instead of hating. He musty be afraid that i am gonna outdo him or something. I don’t know but he has made me work even that much harder. I spent the majority of my life dealing with people who were always telling me what i can’t do. Bad move bro. Now you just unleashed a beast in me that will show you up on here. I’m making sacrifices i’ve never thought i could make to make my point. So while i’m venting, i should be thanking you. You woke up a sleeping giant inside of me. Look people, lets encourage others instead of trying to bring them down. We are all trying to reach specific goals and negativity to others is just shameful and disrespectful. Thank’s guys…now i’m jumping off my soapbox.

Ever want to quit in the middle of a workout? Read this first!

Monday, November 24th, 2008

You are in the gym, you put yourself through some pretty intense and grueling exercises, all in an attempt to stay young and vital, get stronger, lose weight compete, etc. You look in the mirror and seemingly never like what is looking back. You get to about the third set of the fourth exercise and then you stop and say…"Why the hell am i doing this?" I do that about once a week. But then i think about all the people who are counting on me; friends, family, kids that look up to me and then i think of myself and how i have come too far to give up now, and then i recite phillipians 4:13, " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and i catch my second wind and finish with a furious flurry. That’s why i wake up at 5am each morning while others are enjoying the warmth of their beds, because i want this so bad i can literally taste it. So when you feel like you might be wasting your time, I hope you use this for some type of inspiration.

Getting better every week

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

This is what i’ve been working for. I’m getting stronger with every workout. The weight is fluctuating back and forth but my pants are starting to loosen up. Still a long way to go… but i’m getting that "hard and solid veiny( i think that’s a word) look that i used to have. This is the goal that i’ve been working for. The Fit at 40 plan is finally coming into play, and with 8 weeks left in the year, it will only get better. Just got to stay focused now on nutrition and not straying away. Good luck to everyone else and thanks for the encouragement you guys have given me throughout the year.
