Motivation

It’s been a rough couple of months for me. Thanksgiving day I found out my mom was very ill, and then a week before Christmas she was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma ( skin cancer ). Then on January 7th ( 3 days before my birthday) she lost her battle with cancer. During the past 2 months I was by her side almost everyday, which put a complete hold on my workout routine. Since her death I have had a very hard time getting back in to a routine. My motivation just isn’t there. I always find an excuse or a reason not to go to the gym. Which if you know me at all, is not like me. I am not super depressed or anything, don’t get me wrong I have my days. Some days are harder than others. But I just don’t know what to do to get that motivation back. I know I need to get back in the gym, I just don’t know how to syke myself up for it.

…. I’m sorry for your loss.

Keep talking about it, don’t bottle it up. The pain will go away, the cherished memories last forever.

sorry bout your mama.. You might just need to give the gym routine a rest for a while because you’re going through some pretty rough times. I’m sure it’ll come back when you’re ready but don’t get too down on yourself now for not having the same enthusiasm you had because I know if I went through an event like that I wouldn’t have much reason to do my routine. You might want to try and find the small things that bring a little light to your day. it’ll come eventually.. Good luck

Sorry to Hear about your loss. About getting motivated, Don’t force yourself and give yourself time to heal but you might find that going to the gym helps get your mind off things and will help you feel better.
