Best Dr’s Apt ever! :)
August 8, 2008Omg soooo cooool! So I went to the Naturopathic dr today, Tony, he was awesome! We did these cool muscle test by me pushing against his his hand and sometimes it would be weak and i couldn’t resist against the his pressure, which meant that there is a deficiency some place,..hard to explain, but really cool! Tony told me that my lab results from last week showed the my Cortisol levels were REALLY high,(which the dip shit dr b4 told me it was really good range) Tony also said that my Cholesterol levels were REALLY low. Wow just shows me the dr previous was an idiot.
Tony said that i’m a classic case of Adrenal burnout/fatigue. What happens he said is that the adrenals go and then it pulls your thyroid down, your liver, kidneys, they are all intertwined and then you get hypo symptoms and low thyorid levels because your adrenals are trying to recruite everything else. Soooo..after spending 2 hrs there getting cool tests done using my body and some accupuncture, and vitamins, he told me that he can perscribe Armour(which i’m on now) but wants me off of it because its’ the adrenals that need help. So he gave me a lot of adrenal supps and my next apt is in a month. So according to how things go in a month he might incorporate Armour again or I might just not even need it.. VERY COOL!!
The bad news…He said that he wants me to take a vacation from the gym for 3 weeks…NO WEIGHTS.. I get to do cardio, 3x a week of 30-45 mins and my HR can’t go higher than 120 beats.. wow..that’s low. He said that currently w/ me training i’m just doing more damage and releasing moer cortisol which makes Reverse t3 and blocks the conversion of your t4 to t3! I learned so much today. I feel so great after leaving there w/ all this info. He also said to take the complex carbs out of my diet and do vegg/protein/fats..to keep my blood sugar stable so kinda like keto i guess..?? unlimited greens though. So we’ll see how things go, I go back next month Sept 9th, very excited about it
Thank you everyone for your kind words and support it really means a lot to me!! & Thanks Sonja for the referral
