P90X - The first day after…
Friday, June 19th, 2009Well my DVD’s arrived on Monday and I started yesterday. I didn’t want to wait till next Monday because I’ve read lots of blogs where people never end up starting. I did the Chest/Back and Abs ripper. I used the bands instead of the chin-up bar; first, because I haven’t attached the bar to my wall, secondly, I can only do one pull-up - so bands will be fine for now until my strength increases.
It was a great workout - the Dive bombers and decline push-ups were KILLER. OK - so now that I am writing the day after, my back is sore but my chest isn’t. I find this really weird because in my training programs before the P90X, I NEVER worked out my chest and ALWAYS worked my back very hard. This is because I have naturally tight pec muscles that would always pull my shoulders forward and I did not want to exasperate the problem. Maybe tomorrow I will feel it.
I can’t forget to post my day 1 pics – I promised myself I would get them up sooner than later.
