I love songs about me
This morning I had an awesome boxing session. Worked hard.
Got to a point where I understood why two sweaty men would cling to each other.
I was clinging to the bag. Push away. Keep pushing. Gloves up Lady!
I enjoy pushing myself but I LOVE being able to work with the instructor. It’s one thing hitting an inanimate object. Quite another working with a fast, living, breathing, tall man.
There’s probably a proper name for this so bare with the novice boxer… my favourite exercise today was situps where everytime you come up, you hit the pads. And count up.
So first situp, you hit one one. Down.
Up. Combo, one two. Down.
Up. One. Two. One. Down.
Up. One. Two. One. Two. Down.
Until you’re hitting the pads ten times. And then you do it backwards to one.
It kills your abs. It kills your shoulders. It basically kills you.
First time round, I sucked. Second time round I killed it. Excellent speed and power.
And then I had to roll over onto my stomach to get up off the floor.
I walked out of gym, depleted. Satisfied.
As if to endorse my fantastic workout the radio was playing a song about me. I love songs about me.
Jimi Hendrix - Foxy Lady (Live at Woodstock)Have a fantastic weekend, all you foxy people!

I can agree with "Foxy Lady". I can see you now, after the boxing and just knowing you have had 1 hard session in the gym and you are looking and feeling that hot "foxy" feeling. V, sounds like your doing and awesome job, and enjoying it. It really shows too. Keep it up.

After my leg routine I have to get up on all fours from the floor (It ends with me flexing my quads isometrically on the floor) and use the rungs of the smith machine to haul myself up. One rung at a time.
These days I imagine I’m rocky (Hermy Balboa?) trying to haul himself off the canvas and beat the count.
I’ve only, been doing this the last couple of weeks. Before that I’d just sit there and catch my breath. Now I’m like "Be a man, get up off the canvas and catch you’re breath standing up, you wuss!"
I like to play mental games with myself a lot.
(PLEASE don’t use this opportunity to say something about me "playing with myself a lot". Thank you.)
