Fighting Inertia 10/01/07

As fall hits, I begin to face new challenges.  I am hoping to reverse my poor habits from September, and to build a cardio base before training for this May’s Vermont City Marathon.  My plan is to run 6 mornings a week, with ~30 minutes of core training at home 3-4X a week.  I am also pay attention to what I eat, and stop eating after 9:00 P.M…..  That’s the plan, but my biggest problem is inertia.  This morning my bed defeated my alarm clock.

At least after school I was able to get my body into the H.S. gym for an open gym run with students hoping to impress the coach before basketball practice tryouts in November.  My old body, and old school skills were holding their own against the high school’s starting center.

Now that I’m home tonite it’s time to focus on my 30 minutes of core training, and get to bed at a reasonable time, so that I can get out of bed and give myself a chance to meet my goals.
