On The Road To Boston
After letting my knee rest for 3 weeks, I finally began my preparation for the Boston marathon. My focus right know is rounding into shape, while trying keep my heart rate in a tight target zone. I began running with my daughter and my dog Mookie. This was my daughter’s first run in quite some time, so we watched our pace, and tried to have fun. After about 3K, we returned home, and I went out on my own for another 7K. I had problems trying to keep within my heart rate zone. Slow, slow, slow, and feeling fat, I plugged along completing 7K. I need to drop 20 pounds during the next 10 weeks, and keep my heart rate in the zone for the next month, before pushing my pace, and seeing how fast I can go after that. 146 more days until Boston.
