Plans Changed
I blew it today, I didn’t get up in the morning to run knowing that my PM would be kid free, and I’d be free to run then. Boy was I wrong. Two my high school aged kids sent me text messages during the day saying that they needed my help, so instead of going for a run around 3, I was errand hopping for the kids until nearly 4. By the time all of my errands were done I ran out of time for my run. That’s why I like running in the morning, it’s my time. Well I better make sure I get my pre-dawn run tomorrow, because that will be the only time available for me. I’ll chalk up today as a learning experience, and enjoy the unexpected off day.

Hee, well, at least you still got some cardio running around for your chitlins!
I hope you have a great run and some well-deserved me time tomorrow!!

Some days are just like that, you’ve been building great base miles, they will serve you well. Think how much you will focus on your run tomorrow.

Ah, Kids….gotta love em. Isn’t it like they have a special alarm that goes off whenever the parent has planned some me time?
I will be watching to see how your run turns out today. Keep at it!

It gave you a rest day, though. And your body may thank you for that later! Don’t be hard on yourself; training plans need SOME flexibility.
