P90X COMPLETION

I just finished this program and I highly recomend purchasing it and adding it to you routine for something different. There are so many different workouts in this program. I look forward to doing the program agian in August. This is really a ripping / shredding program so if you are looking to get huge this isn’t for you. I did not do the yoga routines and I used my dumbells instead of purchasing their bands and used my body bag in the kenpo X routines. I used my supplements through BodyBuilding.com instead of purchasing the supplements through BeachBody.com I did not use the diet program they sent with the program. Although I would have benefitted maybe more from that. Remember, they say diet is 90% of your routine.

 Once agian, this is a greatd workout program.

P90X WEEK 4 (RECOVERY WEEK)

Doing P90X doubles. I am in week four which is the recovery week. Last night I did my own chest and lite arms workout. Tonight I will be doing the Core synergistics and Kenpo X routine back to back. I am convinced that P90X has good workout routines and definately recomend purchasing the program. I buy my supplements thruough Bodybuilding.com though instead of through beachbody.com

P90X DOUBLES

Just a followup note from week one. The yoga workout was skipped. I just couln’t get in to it. Maybe because I may have been coming down with a cold. I will give it a shot next week. I also skipped the stretch today and I used three of my own workouts. Tomorrow I start week two. The Kenpo X was fun and was a great workout. Overall for the first week I highly recomend this program. Note that I am doing whats called the doubles instead of the classic basic workout which means I add my own workouts three to four times a week later or earlier in the day. The is also and lean workout format which I will probably do later in the year.

P90X day 3 Shoulders and arms and Ab Ripper X workout with Plyometrics note

Note: P90X has three programs, classic, doubles which is what I am doing, and lean.

First following up on the plyometrics from monday night. My calfs are burning. As always; the day after the day after is a good indicator of an effective workout.

 Now, the shoulders and arm workout with the Ab ripper X.  First time through this. This was a good workout. Totally new. I got great pumps in the arms and shoulders were burning. I will lift heavier next workout and switch from chair dips to full body dips on my ab tower. I felt like I could have lifted more wanting to do my own workout after. But its never recomended to do any lifting more than forty five to sixty minutes at a time. I recomend one workout in the morning and another in the evening if time permits. I will have to fit my lifting program in friday night or saturday morning. The Ab ripper X routine is tough and a good workout. If you can keep up you will have done 350 movements.

Plyometrics

 Interesting workout. Tough, pretty intense but felt I needed some cardio afterwards. Its always good to change things up and this workout will definately do that. It is made up of alot of jumping and soft landing if done right to prevent injury. I enjoy working out with the DVD its fun. Tonight will be shoulders arms and ab ripper x. I plan on making this work out as intense as possible. I take my regular weight lifting routines seriously! I hope tonights workout will provide some serious burn!!!!!!!!!!

DAY ONE OF P90X

I did day one which was chest and back with the ab ripper x in the morning. Went very well. The part I am looking to improve on is the diamond pushups. These are new to me and are hard! OOOOOHHHHHRAAAA! Makes me hungry to get this down.  The ab ripper program was tough but maid it through. I think this program rocks but give me a week for more followup. I aslo did my own wieght training routine lastnight with some light boxing. The diet has been great and since the New Year I have been right on track. Tonight will be Plymetrics.

DIET

Does anyone have a diet plan for a person who has some kind of an admin job. Sitting down behind a desk all day long doesn’t burn calories. I get my workouts done at night but from 6:45 am to 5:00 pm I am sitting at my desk. They say to eat every couple of hours but that seems like a lot. I usually wake up and have a multivitamin with a creatine shake and then 2 scoops of protien shake at the office with an apple or bananna, then another 2 scoop protien shake or tuna and whole wheat crackers or chicken or fish for lunch with another piece of fruit. Then another two scoops of protien before heading home to workout. Then more creatine and 30 minutes later, chicken, almonds or just a scoop of protien shake before bed. I still have too much body fat though.

Not paying enough attention to AB workouts

I am frustrated with my abs. But I know that there is no one to blame but myself. I workout hard but I don’t give my abs enough attention. I have to maintain a good ab routine. Does anyone have any good routines to recomend? I already have several but I need to comitt to incorporating it with my lifting. I don’t think this AB Lounge thing I have does much good. I did do kneeling rope crunches and medicine ball crunches on monday and I could feel some burn this morning. I think I will add leg raises to the routine on my ab tower. All feed back as usual is appreciated.

NEW STACK

I just finished with Muscletech stack, GAKIC, CREAKIC, AND LUEKIC. I am starting a stack put togather by bodybuilding.com. It is the Advanced Muscle Builder Stack. This consist of Procomplex, Multi Pro 32X,  Animal Pump, Xtend, and Nocturnabol. The Nocturanbol kind of freaked me out because it says it a deep sleep supplement but I took it last night and everything went fine. I can’t say I slept hard; but I slept just fine and didn’t feel to sore when I woke up this morning. But… we all know that it is always the day after the day of a hard workout we are sore. We shall see. I have to admitt that I did not feel like woking out and I took the Animal Pump pack and I was jacked!! I have had good luck with the Animal Stak & Pump and had good results.

Protein Intake

I keep the copies of all of my old magazines and once in a while I grab one to review. I found an interesting article in an old muscle and fitness rag that talked about protein intake and how we may really only need .7 grams per pound for growth. Does anyone out there agree with that? I know there are a lot of different opinions out there and I guess thats what keeps things interesting. Every idea presented is the reason we get things done. Stay strong and keep up the good work.

FELT GOOD TO GET BACK AT IT. I CAN TELL I LOST SOME STRENGTH THOUGH, BUT IT WILL BE BETTER IF I KEEP AT IT. WATCHED THE OLYPICS WHILE WORKING OUT. HELPED OUT ON THE MOTIVATION END. New month / new workout

Today is the first of August. I will finish my latest routine toinight with a shoulder / bicep and tricept workout. Monday I will start the muscle and fitness workout series for two months as I stated in yesterdays blog and update the workout format. Every time I change the workout I gets me motivated; I am sure many of you can relate. Thanks guys for your input in yesterdays forum. As always I value any and all input. Lately I have been lowering my calorie intake by consuming 3 scoops of whey protien both breakfast and lunch each and feel lighter. I will be weighing in tomorrow and will update stats monday. Wierd

During my chest workout last night I was ready to go. But after my second superset of dips something weird happened that was a first. I thought was seemed to be a head rush and felt a little dizzy and kind a shook it off but I continued to have a lite head pain. This continued through out the workout and until 10 pm when I decided to take a couple of asprins then it went away. This morning it was back litely. I wonder if I popped a small blood vessel or vessels? I have to admit this sounds funny but this is definately a first. Oh well if if continues I guess i will have to see doc. Tonight I will work legs. I freak’n hate squats!! Gotta get motivated and push through. Its gotta be done. Ohra!

Attitude

I have never been a people person. I just want to do my thing and move on but I do realize the importance of being a team player. I know I come across as an *******. But, I definately don’t mean too. I think, or actually I know that my supplements make me hyper. Can any one else relate to this? I get pretty hyper on HGH or some thermogenics or nitro supplements.

LAST NIGHT AT THE GYM

I EXTENDED MY WORKOUT AND USED A NEW PIECE OF EQUIPMENT I AQUIRED FOR MY HOME GYM. ITS AN EXCERCISE BIKE. I USED IT TO DO 1 MINUTE SPRINTS AFTER EACH OF THE LAST SETS DURING MY LEG WORKOUT. IT BEATS THE HELL OUT OF RUNNING IN PLACE FOR 30 SECONDS. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECOMENDATIONS REGARDING ANY STACKS? I AM THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING EITHER BSN OR MUSCLE TECH PRODUCTS, BOTH OF WHICH I HAVE USED BEFORE AND LIKE.

Tonights workout is Legs. I have been told it is a good idea to run or do some kind of cardio after lifting. I started this monday night after my chest workout and plan to keep it up the rest of the week. I will be changing my lifting routine August fourth. I have been using Jay Cutlers Muscle Tech mass workout and it is one of my favorites. But it time to change things up. Oohhraa to all my Devildog brothers and sisters! Stay motivated and strong. I’m finally catching up on entering my most recent workouts. Good thing I keep a journal. My back seems to be ok. I took it easy during my bicep and tricep workout on the morning of the 4th and it seemed not to bother me. I still get stiff at times though. I haven’t been taking flax or fish oil. Started back up yesterday. I have one week of the Animal stack left which is the current supplement I am taking. Next will be ASN Humagro which is a six week supply staring sunday the 13th with my usual Optimum whey protien.

I must have pulled something in my lower back last saturday. It doesn’t hurt but feels tight and effected my workout lastnight. Tonight I still plan on a bicep/tricep workout. With a back workout friday and saturday shoulder workout doing am cardio friday, sat and sun. We shall see what happens.

Oorrahh! Last nights workout was a good one as usual. *Although I hate squats* I look forward to tonights workout of Biceps, triceps, and abs and cardio. Current supplements taking are JAKS Animal Stak combo with creatine and whey protien. The diet has been much better also.
