Attitude is Everything
The night before Alexander the Great’s army of 30,000 Greek Soldiers prepared to meet 500,000 Persian warriors on the field of battle, Alexander slept soundly and had to be awakened by one of his generals. From the accounts he was calm and collected that morning as well. When pressed for an answer to why he was not nervous he simply replied that he had already seen the victory in his head and the moment the Persians decided to face him, he had already won. Alexander and his army went on to soundly defeat the Persians in this battle against overwhelming odds. The mind is a powerful tool; Alexander had seen it in his mind and believed whole heartedly that there was nothing that could stop him from winning this battle. While we rarely face life and death struggles in everyday life, we too can apply positive thinking and visualization to meet obstacles in our path. Attitude is everything!
