In my earlier blog I just talked about the main event, but there is also a very intrigueing match up in the middle weight division.  Ricardo Almeida is set to do battle with Patrick "The Predator" Cote.

This is a classis battle of a BJJ expert (Almeida) vs. a feared striker (Cote).  This will be a very interesting fight that won’t go the distance.  Someone is either getting knocked out or submitted in the very first round of action.  The winner will possibly have the next crack at the current 185 pound champ, Anderson "the Spider" Silva.

We have reached the culmination the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter reality series.  The two coaches Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Forrest Griffin will battle it out for the UFC LHW title this Saturday in Las Vegas.  Forrest was able to get the upper hand by winning the coaches challenge on the show, which was a game of horse for 10 G’s.  He was also able to coach the eventual winner of the show in Amir Sadollah.

That is great and everything but will he be able to slay the beast that is known as Rampage?  Or will Rampage run through him like he did against Chuck Liddell, who coached Forrest to victory in the first season of the Ultimate Fighter?
