Will dawg and I made are way around Minneapolis this afternoon and shot some cool footage. We made our way to the Target Center early where we received our temporary media passes and headed to the action. Dana White was answering questions from fans. The Ufc has a "fight club" where members can ask questions to whomever the featured guest Is. There was one upset fan who asked Dana why he continued his hate for Tito. It was a funny exchange. Vandi silva showed up and signed autogrpahs for the fans.

Right now we’re watching a video on the main card fighters before they weigh in. The Ufc does an awesome job of marketing the fighters and telling their stories. I’m sitting next to Kevin Cole from yahoo sports. One of the most knowledgable guys in the MMA world. He was recently a guest on Larry Pepe’s pro mma radio. Stay tuned for more updates after the weigh-INS.

(Expert) MMA photographer Isaac Hinds and myself are off to the UFC 87 weigh-in’s here in about 30 mins.  

Never been to Minneapolis, so we are going to get some footage of the city for some review videos before the weigh in’s start.

The UFC will set foot for the very first time in Minnesota as it presents UFC 87 Seek and Destroy!  The main event will feature Georges St. Pierre vs. the number 1 contender Jon Fitch for the WelterWeight Title.  Also a huge match up in the heavyweight division between Heath Herring and the former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.  Two of the world’s top lightweights will battle it out for a possible title shot as Kenny Florian will face Roger Huerta.  
This could be GSP’s toughest test to date.  Fitch is no slouch and will no doubt give GSP fits throughout the fight.  GSP has this to say about his opponent,  “He brings a lot more problems to the table than all the guys I’ve fought before,” St. Pierre said. “I have a game plan and a solution to the problem.”   Only time will tell!  GSP was unsucessful the last time he defended his title, and will need his A game to retain the title this go around.

When it rains it pours, more bad luck for the former champ.

“Huntington Beach woman who was more than 16 weeks pregnant and who police said was injured in a hit-and-run crash with mixed martial artist Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson on the 55 Freeway two weeks ago has had a miscarriage, her fiance said Friday.

Holli Griggs, 38, was driving her 2007 Cadillac Escalade in the left lane on the southbound 55 Freeway just south of Bay Street on July 15 when Jackson’s gray-and-green pick-up truck sideswiped her as he drove along the median lane at about 45 mph, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Prosecutors have yet to file charges against Jackson, a former light heavyweight champion for the Ultimate Fighting Championship who remains free on $25,000 bail. Prosecutors would not comment on any potential charges due to Griggs’ miscarriage.”

It’s not yet sure if the miscarriage was due to this accident, but the couple has retained a lawyer.
Rumor has it that he has split with his trainer Juanito Ibarra aswell.  He credited Ibarra with all of his recent succes within the UFC.  It’s really too bad!
