7 Weeks Out

I finally got my bodyfat measured and now I have somewhere to go. I’m at 6.6% BF. That means I can probably get to 5% by my first competition April 11th. It’s a small show, and I couldnt probably compete the way I look right now, but why just compete when I can have the physique to win?

I’ve been on the 3,000kcal track with a 40:40:20 Ratio CHO:PRO:FAT and in one week intend to drop it by 100-200kcal a day. Cant decide on which one to do, but I do need to drop. I worry that 200 might be too much and push my body into thinking it’s in famine mode, but if I taper too slow I wont get much for results.

I am hoping to stay above 210 for competition though, so maybe 2900, to 2800, and 2700 during competitions might be enough of a taper. Time will tell!

How do you feel about the 40/30/30 mac profile under heavy lifiting conditions with majority of fats coming from mono and poly sources, eg. fish, olive, canola and nut oils?
