Back Under The Knife
Thursday, June 21st, 2007Well, here we are once again. It looks like my goal of being back in pads this season is coming to a screeching halt. While I have been making progress in the weight room and on the field my knee hasn’t exactly been behaving as it should following my ACL reconstruction nearly 10 months ago. After talking with my new Orthopedic Surgeon and viewing some new MRI’s it would appear I am going back under the knife. I have a common complication from an ACL reconstruction called a Cyclops Lesion. Also, he found a tear in my Medial Meniscus that was either missed when I had the ACL fixed or it’s a new injury. So I’m scheduled for an Arthroscopy on July 10th. Hopefully this surgery will get my knee back to "normal", so I can get back to squatting a small foreign car and playing football again. Stay posted for updates after the surgery.
