Upcoming photo shoot, need to get ready

June 6, 2009

I got a photo shoot in mid July, its my first one since September 2007. I am very nervous and bit excited.
Right now due to me being sick recently with the flu and still recovering from my back and shoulder injury I have been behind on getting my body into the shape its supposed to be for it.

I did just a practice photo shoot with my friend whose a photographer and the photos did not come out as I wanted them to. I still need to lose about 10 pounds and lean out a lot while working my abs to be really visible.

The photo shoot is for American Eagle, and I will be taking pics in swimwear and boxers.
1 Month to drop 10 pounds, making my abs really visible and making my chest a little more defined. I will probably be able to achieve what I need to unless another injury or illness happens. I hope it don’t.

I’m back, working out again

February 19, 2009

Few weeks ago I got a bad shoulder injury trying to do incline dumbbell press, I “popped” the 125 pound dumbbell the wrong way and it dislocated my shoulder and messed up my rotator cuff and for a while I was not able to move it.

Now I’m also back to Colorado after a long Iraq deployment.

I went last night to do a chest and triceps workout and I was pumped and motivated.

I did my warm up, and started. On first set I was winded and was not lifting like I normally would. I felt some shoulder pain but nothing too bad.

The whole workout I was winded and light headed, it was the altitude, it was effecting the way I was working out. I’m not used to thin air.

After I was done I looked at my journal and I was shocked to see how bad my lifts were.

I talked to my buddy and he said his lifts were low too. So we came to conclusion that its for few reasons: the thin air because of altitude, change in diet, sleeping schedule and my shoulder injury.

Its going to take some time to adjust but hopefully I do not lose any size.
