What I ate today

Psalm 42:11
Why are thou cast down, O my soul? and why are thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.<em />

 

Our society would have us believe that the person who tries to do something is a failure unless he or she succeeds. Very little honor is awarded the person who gives it her best shot but falls short of the goal. How sad, for it is the person who does her very best who pleases God the most. When we decide to diet and we try to be as faithful to it as we can be, then we are victors in the eyes of the Lord. We need never grow discouraged when we don’t lose weight, as long as we are doing the best job we can.

Today’s thought: I judge myself harder than God does!

Protein Smoothie-blueberries, 1 chunk frozen bannana, glutamine, ground flax seed, 1/2 scoop protein powder

1 cup of coffee

1 small G2, 24 ounces of water

1 package Instant Cream of Wheat with 1 tbsp protein isolate and 1 tsp nutty sunbutter

7 FF Pretzel Thins

4 oz lean turkey burger with 1tsp ketchup, mustard and spicy brown mustard, 1 pickle wrapped in lettuce, tomatoe salad with 10 nuts and 2 tsp light dressing, 15 spears of fresh roasted asparagus

32 oz water

Pita with cheese and 1 tsp PB

1 L of water

4oz chicken breast diced with steamed stir fry veggies (about 1-1.5 cups) on spinach and mixed salad with light honey mustard dressing (about 2 tsp)

6 oz FF yogurt

1 Small German Choc Cyclone (Generic Blizzard)

1 L of water

What I ate today

I’m putting this in writing for my own sake…not for someone to critique.

Feel free to say whatever you want…

Protein Shake:  fruit, water, ground flaxseed, 1/2 scoop protein isolate

1/4 cup oatmeal with 1/2 scoop of Protein Powder and tsp nutty sunbutter

1/2 cup  dry bran flakes, 10 almonds

4 oz diced chicken breast over veggies and lettuce with small handful of nuts, 6 or so grapes topped with mustard, 1/4 cup Jasmine rice infused with Lemon Tea

3 bites of homemade peach pie

meduim pear

1/4 cup shredded chicken on whole wheat light bun with reduced fat Mayo with olive oil (about 1 tsp) about 1/2 tbs bbq sauce, mustard.  2 cups veggies over fresh spinach with pepper and half a diced sweet potatoe

1/2 cup yogurt with small handful of nuts mixed in

Lots and Lots of WATER..probably 2-3 L and 1 cup of coffee in the AM with SF flavored syrup
