Demon Number One, I Call You Out.
Do not be alarmed! This is only a psychological exorcism. There will be no heads turning, no foaming of the mouth. You must go to look at my progress photos, (or my you tube videos), if it is head turning and mouth foaming which you are after.
In my introduction blog for this contest, I mentioned "my demons". Now when I said demons, I was not talking of the fiery red headed devils with pitchforks. THAT would be tapping into my pentecostal background, which is an entirely different story. No, the demons I made reference to, were the demons of my mind. Let us revisit them shall we?
fear of failure
fear of success and envy
fear of discomfort and hunger
food addiction
gluttony
insecurity
lack of vision
failure to plan
weak mindedness
You see. I knew before I started, that I would be facing each one of these little devils along the way.
Everyone has different things in their mind, that holds them back in life, stemming from their childhood.
These are mine.
SO as we progress in this contest, I will be calling each particular demon out one by one….and by name.
Today I call out demon number one. The first one to torment me on this journey.
"FEAR OF SUCCESS AND ENVY"
One of my fellow competitors has bad mouthed me. He has used the slut word in reference to me. The last I checked, a slut was a woman who has sex indiscriminately. You may want to check with my husband of 18 years, but I am no slut. I take great offense at being referred to as such.
I chalk this man’s words up to JEALOUSY AND ENVY.
THAT is HIS battle.
Fear of his envy, (and of other’s), is mine.
It is time to shake the first demon loose.
AND so I say,
"Demon of fear….fear of my own success and of the envy which it provokes in others……BE GONE! YOU HAVE NO PLACE IN MY LIFE ANY LONGER."
There now.
I feel better.
Do you?

overcoming the insecurity of others is a sisyphian task and futile. Better to let them come to terms with those insecurities on their own. There will ALWAYS be someone who wants to see you belittled or defeated because they believe it easier to bring others down than to bring themselves up.
Be above the fray.
If you are a success, then be a success. Be yourself unabashedly and without regard to whether or not others want you to be it; because you may have to live with their opinions for a while, but you must live with yourself for the rest of your life.
Just my take,
Dave

I know who you are talking about. He also called me a slut. Go figure when you sleep with the same man and like sex you are a slut.
People will envy you. They will hate you, because you look better than them. That’s their issue. You have to love Maddi. And for every loser a hole, their are 10 people that love you to death. Keep going.. and keep battling those demons. You are rockin’.
