2008 Transformation Contest

Where did the word blog come from?  To me it sounds like something that is just expelled.  Like gas or something. Something that is in you, that you just have to get out.  And that is what this blog is going to be for me.  WATCH OUT!  

No really, I do have my filter on.   I want to keep this quasi-professional, but I still want to be me.  I hope that is acceptable?  Isn’t the internet a grand thing?  I believe it is changing the face of society.  We are able to put away our inhibitions and dare to be ourselves without so much fear of censure.  We can try on different masks and see which one truly fits us.  I have tried on many masks in my time here, and I have enjoyed them all.  For the time being, I have decided to be as honest and forthright with you all as possible.  I have decided to stop so much the taking, and to start giving.  I know I have much to share.

How many people do you know who are overweight?  What percentage maybe?  There are many.  The statistics continue to rise.  Most people find a way to remain satisfied with their inflating figures as long as there is somebody in the room larger than they are.  I remember going through this.  It finally got to the point where I could only find one person left larger than me.  My 365 pound Aunt Margie.  

I came to the door one night and rang the bell.  My husband came to let me in (I had forgotten my key).  Looking through the keyhole he said to me later that he thought I WAS my Aunt Margie.

I remember going out with my husband on our 15 year wedding anniversary and it being a VERY UNROMANTIC night out.  My  husband was in disgust with me.  I wanted a little sexual attention that night, but knew I was not going to get it.  I was a very sad lady.  

Nowadays my husband cannot get enough of my body.  I woke up the other night to feel a hand and arm literally dragging my foot and leg across the bed.  I had let my 8 year old daughter sleep with me that night.  My husband was dreaming and literally pulling me across the bed in his sleep.  I  had to slap the man off of me.  haha  "Stop it!  Stop it!  Zaelia is in here!" I yelled.  He did not remember this the next day.  

I tease him and call him cave man.

Hmm, yes.  Losing 100 pounds will do wonders for your spouse’s flagging libido.  I highly recommend it.  Just remember!  After you lose the weight, sleep with a club next to the bed so you can beat the cave man off if need be.
