I just wanted to let you know that I have been following this compatition since it started, and I am shocked to see who you chose to win. I can’t believe you picked someone who didn’t make much of a transformation. I thought that the contest was who made the most change…. If you ask me I didn’t see very much of a change on the first 2 winners. There others who made more of an eye turning second looking than the one you picked as a winner. NO I am not trying to bag on dvsness, I mean just because you make a compatition you shouldn’t be chosen the winner over others that have made a bigger transformation. I believe that you made a mistake. I don’t know if connections to people higher up were involved but something fishy went on with the voting. I hope that you all can sleep well tonight knowing that you let someone win that didn’t truly deserve to win. Of course anyone looks different when their hair is in their face. I just can not believe the results. It is very depressing. To all the others congrats, BUT this shouldn’t have been the results if they were looking for the one that made the biggest transformation.

When you gave the 17 judges the form to rank the contestants, what criteria were they using to place us 1-8? If you could post this up with the scorecards, it would give everyone a better understanding why we were placed in the positions above.

anyways, my 2 cents on this contest
IMO, Phil made the biggest physical transformation out of any contestant. However, I would have to say that neither Phil nor Vanessa made continuous progress week by week the way Nitaant, and then Matt did. So I’m not really sure how Vanessa won. If you’re looking for the biggest transformation, it’s Phil, and if you’re looking for the biggest relative transformation, it’s probably Nitaant.
Add to that the constant gloating of Vanessa,, I’m very surprised that they voted for her. She should have definitely been a lot more humble about it. I mean, really, at the end of the day it’s only $500, but oh well I guess money matters more to some than others

First and for most, congrads are in order. I was a bit confussed by the placings because I thought too, it was about the "greatest" change. But, in a line up asking the question who had the best physique at the end, I would have probably judged it much the same way except chuck would have placed higher, probably 3rd, the dude is solid.
But regardless of the the actual criteria Vanessa had the best over all physique in the end. Congrads

As one of the judges: we were give the before and after pics and that was it; no back ground or weekly updates, just before and afters. Going off of that Vanessa did make the biggest transformation. She lost a lot of body fat and really tightened up. Her final result was her goal weight. I had never hear of or seen Vanessa before, so it definitely wasn’t about connectedness for me.
Philip did lose a lot and it was very close between him and Matthew for second, who also reach his goal and had a lot of definition - loosing both fat AND gaining muscle. This was a main criteria (building muscle AND loosing fat).
Everyone did great and should be proud of their progress. I hope everyone keeps going regardless of the competition coming to a close.

alright my people heres the situation…….when we judged this thing, we were givin your before and your after shots. we were not givin any stats. our judging wasnt fishy….some a those pictures were fishy. we were simply going off of what was put in front of our faces. we all pretty much had the same winner, but the rest of the placings were hard because everybody did a real good job. i dont think any of us had the exact same placings for everybody. even looking at it now, ill tell you that i dont necessarily agree with the end results. but its not jus about me, its about who got how many votes in the end etc etc.
criteria we used….ok sure…..
can i even notice a change in the before and after pics? is that person seriously sticking out their belly? why does that after shot look photoshopped? can you believe how much this person lost around their butt? does this after pic jus look different because they got a tan? how much do you think that persons suckin it in? do you think that double chin is fake? that pic could be old, why didnt that person follow rules and hold up a newspaper?

Do I feel I merited higher placing? Yes I certainly do but the judges didnt agree-so be it. Hoping my placing will be higher than sixth at the Mr Pa contest this summer.

1. ERIC, as the criteria you based your judging off of, THAT was NOT the criteria. The criteria was overall transformation. I just don’t see how a person goes from 116lbs in September of 2006, 124lbs in January 2007 to 105 in April has the OVERALL transformation. If the judging was that it had to be fat loss AND muscle building, my feeling of being shocked just got x100. The origianl criteria had to overall transformation, not a bodybuilding contest.
2. Lisa, I understand your questioning some things, BUT these things should have been figured out before the contest started and not after. I hope and pray nobody was influenced in their voting by what you just said. Also, email me directly and I can send you candids of me in 2006 and as of now. You will see that they are genuine.
I think if there was questions regarding pictures, there was a delay of 18…I’ll repeat 18 days where that could have been addressed.
Speaking of delays….why the hold on announcing the winner? Why wait so long? Was there a specific reason?
I am not going to go on, I will turn with my head held high (mouth dropped to the floor), but when I feel direct shots are at me, I will respond.

Boy,the drama in here keeps getting worse & worse!!! IMO, the placings should have been different, except 7th & 8th (I placed where I expected I would be). But the contest is over and we have to accept the placings!!
I don’t like the comment that the pics looked "FISHY." I can attest that my pics are the real deal, because I don’t have photoshop.
I did eat alot of Tuna Fish & other fish during the contest!!! Maybe that’s why mine were fishy. LOL

Yes, thank you for the comments…I would still like to know if the judging was based on SIMULTANIOUS fat loss and muscle building…if it was, I must have misread the rules.
As you said, I have nothing to worry about. Heck I had to take about 50 pictures because everyone was blurry or had showed my kids shadow holding up the sheet behind me. I’ll also stand by my statement of if someone wants to email me directly, they are more than welcome to.
Lastly, I want everyone to know, I went to gym tonight (had to drag my jaw because it was still on the floor), but I worked some rage out.

I don’t think the judges got to see the pics until recently. Lisa’s being a darling by coming into the thread and answered questions, lets not give her flak for doing her job? She didn’t make the rules, they were given to her, and she judged by them.

Yes, there was ALOT of time with the before pics where you wern’t told you missed something, and 18 days after, but I believe the rules stated something to the effect of "Front and rear pictures with newspaper are mandatory. All other pictures are supplemental". You also wern’t holding the newspaper in your final pics. Im sure the judges would NOT want to doubt anything for the sake of the competition, but its hard to when there are just one or two simple rules with the before and after pictures that also get broken.
My 0.02 on why you placed third and not first or second.

Good points nit, but one I need to make, as it does’nt matter now. Look behind my head in the pics. the newspaper IS hanging on the sheet behind my head. You may only be able to half of it in one of them…but you can tell its the same pic. As I said, if there was a problem, we had 90 days to say something about my back, and then 18 to say, hey wheres the paper. Its there…..look. Show me where is said front and back. That’s why I’m angry, if I lost because soooo many interpritations was way wrong, then I’m hurt I wasn’t asked about something in 108 days…only after the fact. oh well, whats done is done….lets move on, get huge, and make more than $500.
