Back in the saddle again
My internet's been down for the last three days, so I haven't been able to log my diet/exercise or update on here.
So far, we're two weeks into the competition, and I can honestly say I have not been working as hard as I should be. In fact, I've GAINED weight over the past week. However, based on arm, shoulder and chest measurements, as well as the mirror, somehow I'm building muscle mass. I have no idea how this is happening at on average 2.2k cals daily. Honestly baffles my mind.
My body is very strange and it holds on to/gains weight exceedingly easy. A dramatic example for you guys would be as follows; During early summer of 2006, I attempted a PSMF [protein sparing modified fast] (starvation diet consisting only of protein) to rapidly shed some poundage. I was consuming 840 cals daily and MAINTAINED weight during the period of about 2 weeks.
Anyhow, yesterday I picked up an exercise bike from Walmart. I think this will truly have been the best $95 I've spent. Now I'm finally indoors instead of trying to jog on bad knees in 20 degree weather outside.
The bike will truly give me the edge I need to make my personal goal, as dumb as that sounds.
Daily stats;
Nutrition;
Didn't get enough protein compared to carbs today.
2150 cals
31% protein
38% carbs
31% fats
Should've thrown in a couple scoops of whey here and there but it's too late now. [10:30pm]
Training;
6am Cycled 8 miles - 18 mins
2:40pm Lifted Delts
4:45pm 1 mile walk
10:00pm cycled 2.5 miles - 5:20 mins.
Probably the most exercise I've ever done in my life in a day. lol. Wow that's sad.
I'm going to make a habit of cycling every morning at 6am before I shower and head off to school to really kick off my metabolism.
I need to start shedding some pounds instead of gaining if I'm to make my goals for summer.
You all are making great progress. Ness; you're leaning out really quick. Awesome work.
Glad to see your OK! We thought you dropped off the planet!! LOL
Thank you and welcome back. If you are having "oops I didn't have enough protein" days, plan your meals and macros in advance. It will make a world of difference. :)
Glad to see you posting again! The fact that you are gaining muscle is awesome. Have you thought about doing a different program split. Maybe working each bodypart more frequently with less sets?
