The Evolution of Ness
Hi everyone. I believe the best way to introduce myself to thos of you who are foolish enough to not know me already
is to repost what I had written in the entry thread. This way you'll all be able to see why Bodybuilding.com chose me.
I'm 27 and from Brooklyn, NY. I have been training on and off since high school, when I was a cross country runner, but over the last two years I have been very consistent with my training and diet. Because I'm somewhat of a neurotic person, I really enjoy micromanaging my nutrition and training and both logging and blogging these details. Minutia actually appeals to me.I decided that I wanted to be a figure competitor earlier this year. Other members of my gym were asking what show I was training for, and that planted the notion in my head that I could. After going to a few shows, I was hooked. This is probably the first time I could ever be referred to as ambitious; I've found something I love completely. My first show will be the NPC New York Metropolitan this April.
I believe that choosing me for this competition would be mutually beneficial. I want to take part in it because it's a great opportunity for me to show the world what I'm capable of, both as an athlete and as a writer. As you can see from some of the posts in this thread, I have a great support system and following on this forum already, and I would love to share my experience with even more. I also think it would be great for this site to have an NPC athlete in the contest to make the entries more varied.
I can win this contest for several reasons:
?¢ The timing coincides perfectly with my show cut.
?¢ As deserusan articulated ever so kindly, I am currently a lardass.
?¢ I am a fiercely competitive person.
?¢ My willpower is unmatched. This is not just a hobby for me. I undoubtedly want to make this industry my future, and I'd very much appreciate your help to propel my dream.
Now that I'm officially a contestant, I'll tell you a little more about my plan. I am fortunate to have some incredible people working with me on my journey. My cyclical diet has been prepared by Twin Peak and I've gotten some great training assistance from Deserusan. Though I don't doubt my knowledge, I am never to proud to ask for or offer help. There is no room for pride in a sport that is based on self improvement.
During this Transformation Blog, I will still be maintaining my regular one, as well as starting a supplement log of MAN Body Octane in late January. I am also a judge in the ThermoLife transformation contest, which will run roughly the same length as this one. I am going to be busy and hungry, which means I will be bitchy and abrasive (as usual). I will try to curb my language and keep it in the ThermoChat where I'm not censored so don't worry, Rich!
Also, I am a techno-moron, :o so I'll try to figure out how to insert some pics.
I'm taking suggestions now on what to spend my $500 on in April. :D
