Introducing the Winner of the 2007 BB.com Transformation Contest GFriedel!!

GeorgeWell, it has a nice ring to it!!!  Over the next 3 months I will be on this journey!!!

Littlechick may be the first to post here, but I was the first person to through my hat in the ring when this forum started, so this is why I will WIN!!!!! :)

I wan to thank BB.com for choosing me to participate in this Transformation Contest!!  I really appreciate this opportunity, and I will give 100% of my effort to this competition!!

I have been overweight almost all of my life. I’ve worked out with weights at different times in my life and made good gains, and then for one reason or another I just stopped. I’m not trying to make excuses for myself, I control my actions and I blame no one but myself.

Now that I am 45, pushing 46, I have decided that I do not want to be overweight and out of shape anymore. By the way, I am the oldest Transformation Contestant, and I hope to do the over-40 crowd proud!!  What did it for me was I had my BMI calculated and it was a 33 which is considered OBESSE!! What me, no way!

I started working out again, approximately 2 months ago.  I am working with a Fitness/Nutritionist/Bodybuilder that has given me a diet to help me go from 255lbs down to 205lbs and go from 28% bodyfat to a 12% bodyfat. I am also doing weight training 4-5 times per week. So far, in 31 days, I have lost 12 lbs. I can see & feel a difference already!! My clothes fit the way they should, I feel motivated to go to the gym, and I want to accomplish the goals I’ve set for myself!!

It feels great to be eating healthier and not relying on empty calories to fill me up. I would like to see my abs for the 1st time in my life, not the 24 pack.  I have 2 young kids and they are very important to me. I want to be around as long as possible for them and this is one way I can make this happen!! I want to feel better about myself and I already do with the progress I have made. I can’t stand not being able to work out or when I get off my diet now. It makes me feel like I’ve cheated myself out on something!!

I joined BB.com about the same time I started working out again.  I have used the forums to gain knowledge about nutrition, supplements, and workouts.  There is a ton of excellent & useful information that will help anyone succeed in their quest for a new, fit, & healthy body!!!
I have learned alot here and I thank everyone for their insight!!

I am fortunate to have some outstanding people working with me.  My diet has been prepared by David DiPasquale (www.getontrackfitness.com)  and I’ve gotten some great supplement & training advice from Deserusan.

I am looking forward to posting here and keeping you up to date with my progress, thoughts, etc.  There are 8 GREAT Competitors here and I wish them all the Luck (well not too much) in this competition!

P.S.——-> Also, my boss and I are having a contest of our own. We have to be down to 205 lbs by our National Sales Meeting in April 2007. If one of us, or both of us are not, we have to wear a skirt one day at the National Sales Meeting!! I am not going to be the one to wear a skirt!!! LOL
