Question?? To train legs or not…

October 24, 2007

I have heard many schools of thought on what you should do 2 weeks out from a competition.

Some folks say train heavy only leg extension/flexion movements. No Leg Pushing Movements (squats/leg press) that build up lactic acid. Some folks say stop training legs a week out from the show and don’t do any cardio that involves the knee use. Others say train up to 1 day prior….

What works???? I realize it is all an individual thing but I need some feedback on what you do and the logic behind why you do it.

If you have experience or an opinion on pre-contest train up for lower body… I would love to hear your strategy.

Thanks,

Tracey
