Advice Please……

October 25, 2009

I am losing weight a good constant pace and I am very pleased. I have lost a total of 32 pounds now and can’t even believe that I have made it this far. I’m 18 pounds away from my goal weight of 150…YAY!!!….The problem I am having is with my stomach. I am losing weight and inches but not considerably from my stomach. I’ve lost a total of 4 inches and I feel like I should have lost more. Why does the waist/stomach have to be so difficult? I bought my first 2 bikins and love them especially my gold one, will be post pic in those. But I wanted to know if you guys can offer advice on how to get my stomach down. How can I lose the belly fat?

Genetics can be a real B@#$%…..

October 9, 2009

So I’ve been losing weight pretty steadily now and down about 30 pounds. I can’t fit my old clothes anymore and have to give them away. I put on a pair of shoes that I wore last year during the fall, winter, and spring seasons and they don’t even fit, they were flopping right off my feet. These are all great things and I’m very happy about it, the only problem or should I say two problems is this big ol head of mine and my gut. They are the hardest things to get rid of. I, genetically, have a round fat face and big cheeks and there’s pretty much nothing I can do about it. Some old friends of mine used to call me cheeks because no matter how small I was, I pretty much had big cheeks. Yes, may face has gone down some but not to the point where in my pictures I look slim if its just a head shot. I still look like I’m over 200 lbs and it really sucks. I have to be the one to take pictures of myself from a certain angle in order to look somewhat slim. I’m going to look like a bobble head doll once I finish losing all of the weight I want. Genetics can be a real b@#$% sometimes. Don’t even get me started on my stomach, that rant will be about 2 pages long…lol.

Is working out 5x a week over doing it?

July 26, 2009

I have been thinking about working out more often throughout the week, I currently work out 3x a week but want to increase it to 5x a week. Is that too much? I figure by doing this I can get faster results and of course burn more calories. I just want to see the inches start coming of my waist a little faster and I figure I will be more successful. I’ve got to get some patience, lol, but I am definitely feeling better, my frustrations are minimizing and I’m pushing to the goal.

So frustrating…….just venting

July 13, 2009

So I’ve been on the grind with working out and controlling my calories for the last month and a half or so and have seen positive results. I have people telling me they notice my weight loss, but couldn’t my loss in inches move any faster around my belly? Geesh! I know its only been a little over a month but this is a long strenuous process and I want my waist to disappear, this belly has got to go. Its my biggest challenge and I’m sure for many its a challenge but its a frustrating challenge for sure. This is why I have failed so many times at my weight loss attempts because I got frustrated at how slow the progress was going. It would be nice if I could get the body I desire overnight but I know I didn’t get the body I have now overnight so I know it takes hard work and consistency. I recently took on new exercises that is suppose to be more efficient with speeding up your metabolism as well as achieving the desired results in a shorter yet harder workout routine. I’m trying to keep my motivation high though. I will not give up, I just only hope I don’t overindulge or mess up too much when I go to Vegas this weekend.

First Month Completed with Success

July 6, 2009

Well, I have made it through the first month and really can’t believe I made it this far. Through my first month’s journey I have met incredible people, learned lots of new information like great exercises, and I definitely see and feel a change within myself. The saying stands true, nothing tastes as good a thin feels. It was a trial and error month for me feeling out different exercise methods and eating habits that works best for me and now I have my workout routine down pact. The 4th of July proved to be a challenge but I watched what I ate, can’t say that for the alcohol but I did drink in moderation. I guess its ok to lose a couple of battles as long as you win the war.

First Week Completed with Success

June 15, 2009

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to toot my own horn because I am really proud of myself, I did much better than I thought I would. The reason behind my self gratitude is that I would have messed up in some kind of way but I stuck to it and so now the real challenge is on; sticking to it for the next 18 weeks and maintaining it thereafter. According to the "Weeks To Meet Your Goal Calculator", it will take 19 weeks for me to reach my goal of 150 pounds and I am down for the challenge.

Supplements

June 9, 2009

I would like to take a supplement that may help with my progress. Right now, I am just taking a multivitamin. Can anyone offer advice on good supplements such as fat burners? I’ve browsed but I don’t know what brands may be more effective than others. Thanks!

And It Begins……

June 6, 2009

I have started the process of transforming my body. I am going grocery shopping using a healthy shopping list I have found online and its is very insightful on great things to purchase. I’ve always had a hard time selecting the right things to eat so its great that I have found this resource. Since my cabinets are already empty there is nothing to get rid of so come tomorrow I will have cabinets and a refrigerator full of healthy food. Due to the influence of my boyfriend, I will be eating 6 small meals per day that contain mainly fruits and vegetables. I hope this works which I am sure it will. I have never understood why people say water is nasty since it has no taste but being that I am one of those people I can’t seem to answer my own logic, lol. All is well though because I will begin incorporating the recommended amount of water per day, at least I will try with baby steps.
