2 mile recovery run

Did a 2 mile EZ run today.  I actually went a different route then i’ve been going and ran up a hill I used to have to walk up.  I was very proud. 

But my WHOLE body hurts today, it’s bizarre!  Like everything just aches, and I took an epsom salt bath already.  The worst is like my chest/shoulders- as soon as I picked them up to start running today they felt like they weighted a million pounds.  I think I need to get a massage! ;-)

But I saw these in my yard today! Spring is right around the corner!

7 mile run! Almost got mauled by a dog!

Ran 7 miles in 66 minutes!

The only reason why my time was so good though is because I almost got mauled by a german shepherd!  Thankfully this is the same dog type of dog my family bred when I was little so my reaction was just like natural reaction lol-stopped, screamed "NO! BE NICE!", and pinned its head down to the ground until it calmed down.  If I had tried to run from it, it would have thought it was a game and tackled me. 

But ya my next 2 miles were like a ****ing dead on sprint because of the adrenaline rush!

I am gonna run 7 miles tomorrow, weather is supposed to be nice, got new sneakers, feeling more energized again.   I am hoping it goes well! haha

Today was supposed to be my rest day but I did bi’s/tri’s and abs this morning.

Chest/Back/Shoulders + 3miles

Feeling a bit better today.  Not 100% but getting better.  Been eating up on beans, turkey, nuts and pumpkin seeds, tuna for the iron.  I took 2 multi vitamins yesterday and I will today too.  Anyway workout was as follows…

push ups 3X12
dumbbell bench press 30lbs dumbells 3X10
inclined dumbbell bench press 20lbs 3X10
dumbell flies 15lbs 3X10
incline dumbbell flies 15lbs 3X10
chest press machine 60lbs 3X10
side lateral raised 8lbs 3X10
front dumbbell raises 10lbs 3X10
lat pull down 70lbs 3X10
row machine 70lbs 3X10
one arm dumbbell row 20lbs 3X10
shoulder press machine 60lbs 3X10

3 mile run 31 mins

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day but since I feel like I was such a lazy ****er all week I think I will go and hit bi’s/tri’s and abs again.  Don’t wanna do cardio because Sat. is my long run and I’m shooting for 7 miles.

****ty couple days

Soooo since Monday i have been feeling like total crap.  Yesterday i was supposed to do a 35min tempo run, I got 4 minutes into it and had to stop because the blister on my right foot has split open and I thought it was gonna bleed.  I did bi’s and tri’s though, but I really had NO energy. 
hammer curls 20lbs dumbbells 3X10
bicep curls 15lbs dumbbells 3X10
bicep curl machine 45lbs 3X10
one arm pronated dumbbell tricep extension across face 10lbs 3X10
tricep kickback 15lbs 3X10
standing tricep press 30lbs 3X10
tricep push down machine 45lbs 3X10
tricep pull down w/ rope 30lbs 3X10

Today I could barely get out of bed to go to work at 7am I was supposed to get up at 5am to hit the gym, but i just couldn’t.  I was gonna do a 2 mile run and chest/back/shoulders.  I did the 2 mile run on my lunch break,  But I got so lightheaded I literally thought I was gonna pass out. 

THEN! i caught a glimps of my gums in the mirror, and they are GHOSTLY white.  This is because I am anemic, but I have never seen them this white before.  So I’m guessing this is why I am feeling so crappy.  Anemia is when your body lacks iron and so it can’t transport oxygen throughout your body which makes you lethargic and lightheaded. 

So i’m gonna try and eat lots of iron rich foods today and hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and be able to get back into the swing of things.

New shoes, CT workout, leg day

Sooo I bought new shoes Sunday!
They’re Asics got them on sale at Kohls for $60 :-P I also pick up some running socks from Nike w/ a giftcard I had.  My 2.5mile EZ run Sunday felt like running on pillows haha.

Today was CT and legs so I like a 1 mile warm up

Legs:
squats 145lb 3X10
lunges 20lbs dumbells 3X10
deadlifts 30lbs dumbells 3X12
plie squats 60lbs 3X12
Hamstring curls 110lbs 3X10
Quad curls 55lbs 3X10
hip abduction 185lbs 3X10
hip adductions 185lbs 3X10

then 1 hour on the elliptical

Let me tell you I was absolutely dragging my ass this morning.  I was just not in the mood to do such an intense workout today…

6 miles and lots of blisters!

Ran 6 miles today took 64 minutes.  :-D feel pretty good about that.

OMG I have such bad blisters now!  I think I need to buy new sneakers before next weekend ugh!  I thought I was gonna die at the last mile though because I didn’t bring a bottle of water because my bf said he was gonna go to the gym while I was out running and the gym is the same direction I run, so i figured I’d be like 20mins into my run and he would pass by and I could grab a bottle from him.  He didn’t drive past me until I was 1/2 mile from home.  I was sooooo thirsty! haha I won’t make that mistake again, my tongue was like sand paper.

Yesterday- Intervals

So yesterday I couldn’t get online because I locked my keys in my car and was trapped at work boooo.

But my workout was

1 Mile jog warm up

Biceps/Triceps
hammer curls 20lbs dumbbells 3X10
bicep curls 15lbs dumbbells 3X10
bicep curl machine 40lbs 3X10
one arm pronated dumbbell tricep extension across face 10lbs 3X10
tricep kickback 10lbs 3X10
standing tricep press 30lbs 3X10
tricep push down machine 45lbs 3X10

And then for intervals I did HITT on the treadmill b/c it was 2 degrees outside(**** that! lol)
so I jogged at 5.5mph for 2 mines then ran at 8mph for 45 secondX4
then I just jogged for 8 mins to make it a full 20mins

My legs felt pretty gased after this haha.
