Haha wow what a story! I definitely understand what you are talking about . One time last summer I was running at night and saw something a short distance away that started running toward me. When it got closer it started barking and I was like "Oh hellllll nooooo. This can't be happening!" I booked it down a side street without looking back for a good 50 yards. As I was running I was thinking to myself "I'm not going to out run a dog, might as well turn and fight it before I'm too out of breath from sprinting" When I turned around I saw that it had stopped about 15 yards away from me. I stopped and stared it down. I walked backwards slowly keeping my eyes on the dog. Not too long after that it decided to turn away and go back to where it came from. I finished my run and called it a night. What an adrenaline rush that was! I was a bit nervous for a couple of nights about that one spot so i took alternate routes. after a week though I decided to try that route again. I haven't had any problems since then.
