Trying to clear my mind to keep going.

Well, I’m new to this blog stuff. Basically, I’m just over 2 weeks out from my first contest. Everything is really starting to get to me at this point. The training, the food, and oh the exhaustion. I’m assuming it’s the same for most of us. It’s a battle everyday to make yourself keep pushing for that next rep or set, to keep going on that treadmill for just a few more minutes. If you’re like me you find those little ways to make yourself think it goes by quicker. Like, for example, marking time on cardio to tell yourself you are 25% through, half way through, and only 10 more minutes! Trick your mind to keep thinking that glass is still half full. Trying to be optomistic of what you’ve accomplished and making seem what you have left pretty minimal. It’s been such a blessing to have the people around me supporting me through this. Without that strong support it’d been too easy to give up. This may be an individual sport but we’ve got to have that "team" to help us get through it.

So far I’ve seemed to have made pretty good progress getting ready. I’ve cut just over 20lbs. Got 3-4 more to go before it’s time to pull water. Going by the mirror and tape, I’ve really done very well with holding on to my mass. The last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to battle some kind of chest cold. Been a pain.
