i’m getting a PS3 today!

January 15, 2008

i’m going gamer on all of y’all.  i’ve heard that the xbox 360 is just as great.  i want the built in internet connection and the blu ray so that’s why i’m gonna go with the ps3.  i’ve enjoyed my years with the original xbox but it’s time to upgrade.  so that’s the big news!  probably boring the hell out of everyone else though.

as for my transformation, it’s definitely work (i didn’t think that it wouldn’t be).  i got so used to eating whatever/wherever/whenever that it’s tough to lower my calories, fat, sugar, etc., etc., etc!  but i’m doing it.  and, yes, i’m having a cheat day a week.  sunday is a good day to sit on my a$$ and eat junk, right?

so, the chargers made it to the afc championship game.  my guys suprised the dickens out of everyone, even me.  the patriots are a daunting task though.  they said the bolts couldn’t beat the colts last week but they did.  anything can happen on the field.

i hope everyone has a good week.  keep up the good work you’re doing, whatever it is.  spread love.  -ko

weekend? i wish it lasted longer

January 7, 2008

yeah.  i know.  doesn’t everybody?  i don’t know what i can do to regain my energy.  saturday and sunday i sleep in but it took just about every ounce of energy to drag my fat a$$ out of bed this morning.  must be that i get up at 4 am.

but, enough with that.  overall, i had a good weekend.  didn’t do too much.  did play a little guitar hero 3 (yes, geek) and watched the chargers beat the titans for their first playoff win since ‘94.  thank goodness!

i watched roger clemens on 60 minutes and, to my surprise, came away still wondering if he did use steroids and hgh.  it’s tough to not believe someone that has "played" the game with respect for the past but, really, am i to believe that vitamin b-12 and lydocaine are the only things that were injected.

i’m not too impressed with the new american gladiators.  that poor woman, jessie.  she messed herself up in the first event.  i had to feel sorry for her.  the rest of it was pedestrian.  the gladiators don’t do it for me.  cocky caricatures of fit people.  wolf & titan:  please.  while i’m not sure of how they are in real life the over-the-top hamming it up that they do is nauseating.  i’m not sure i’m going to watch the 2nd part of the premier tonight due to the bcs championship game.  it seems like the game would be way more compelling.

here’s to a great week for everyone.  can’t wait for the weekend!

it’s been a while

January 4, 2008

so, i haven’t posted in over a month.  but, new year, new ideas, new me right.  i’m actually trying to get back to my pre-couch potato weight.  sure, i just started 2 days but i’ve cut out sugary snacks, drank more water, and haven’t eaten after 6pm on those days.  i don’t think it’s going to be a problem for me to get back to where i was.  after i do that, i’ll work on definition.  6′1" and 220 isn’t bad i don’t think.  that’s where i hope to be by the end of march.  anyway, thanks in advance to everyone.  this has to be the most supportive bunch i’ve ever met or chatted or emailed.  whatever i do to keep in touch.  have a great new year!  i’ll be here all year!

New Warehouse!

November 12, 2007

that’s right, bb.com fans!  we moved the idaho warehouse to a bigger location over the weekend.  what does this mean?  hopefully, it means that we will up the efficiency in the warehouse (you can even improve on BADA$$ if you try) and we can carry more stock with a higher variety.  believe me, it’s tough to keep up on product knowledge already.  we’ve got 8K products already.  that’s unbelievable.  thanks for being patient with us over the weekend.  we’re definitely back on track after such a major change.

i wish i had something more exciting to tell you about this weekend but all i did was help with the warehouse.   i did watch some football that got me amped up.  BSU continues to roll and the Chargers got incredibly lucky at the end of a horrible game.  AWESOME!

so, have a great week!  be safe, and, from one veteran to all the others, thanks on this VETERANS DAY!

No Kids!

November 1, 2007

it’s not my fault though.  no one wanted to trick-or-treat at my aparment complex apparently.  i’ve never seen that before.  had the candy basket loaded up and everything.  i guess since we live on the 2nd floor, no one wants to climb up to get some goodies.  i don’t get it.  speaking of kids, quite a few people here at bb.com decided to dress up although i didn’t see the ceo with a costume on.  of course, i didn’t really go searching for him so he may have had one on.  maybe he dressed up as a SECRET SERVICE AGENT?  i won’t ever know.  this places is too much fun!

I’m Tired

October 30, 2007

Not sure anyone knows this but I’m here in the customer service department Monday through Friday starting at 5 AM (mountain).  Now, the benefits are great.  I’m out at 2 PM so I have the whole day ahead of me.  But with the World Series, weekend parties, and, last night, Monday Night Football (the gf is a Denver Broncos fan), I’m wearing myself out.  Things should slow down now that baseball is over.   I need to get to bed earlier!  Believe me, it’s tough to roll outta the sack at 4.  Oh well, my own fault right?  The 35-year old Noel can’t do the things the 21-year old Noel used to do!  As Toby Keith so eloquently put it, "I ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good ONCE as I ever was!"  -ko noel

The Weekend!

October 29, 2007

Okay, first off:  Boise State University ROLLED Fresno State Friday night!  You can’t beat that for a great starter.  On Saturday, I came in to work to help cover.  A lot of the customer service crew was off playing in a dodgeball tourney.  I wanted to be there but had something else going on.  My girlfriend and I were having a Halloween party that night.  Had pretty good turnout:  a pimp, a clown, Hulk Hogan, a dead bride, Minnie Mouse, a HOT Mama, Raggedy Ann, Cruella DeVille, a witch, a cat, a Swiss miss, Tammy Faye Bakker, and a peacock!  It was awesome!  Drinks and food for everyone.  I have pics but would hate to incriminate anyone!  Yesterday, after recovering, I took my mom to breakfast for her birthday, watched the Chargers crush the Texans, and watched my RED SOX sweep the Rockies!  Overall, a great weekend!  Okay, better than great!  Now I’m on my lunch trying to save up enough energy for NEXT weekend.

Teh Misc.

October 24, 2007

The best forum on our site.  No, you won’t get any supplement advice or training logs but you’ll probably get a nice chuckle.  Either that or you’ll get offended.  Keep in mind that there are very few women in the MISC.  You can just imagine where that road would lead you.  I check on the MISC quite a bit.  I’m a pretty silent member of the forums and don’t post too much.  But I watch when I can and I marvel at some of the things in that section of the forums.  You have to check it out!  Remember, keep an open mind, it’s all in fun, and enjoy!  -ko noel

It’s Monday!

October 22, 2007

This a typically busy day for customer service here at bb.com.  Funny thing is that time, although I know that it can’t possibly be true, is running HELLA slow.  And I don’t even like the word hella.  Now, this isn’t customer caused.  It’s just one of those days.  I’m sure it’ll pick up as I only have about 2 hours left and this is when things get amped up quite a bit.  I’m sure things will be fine.  By the way, if you ever have any questions, let me know.  noel@bodybuilding.com  -noel

It’s The Start of Lunchtime Musings!

October 16, 2007

Hey everyone!  I’m just your average Bodybuilding.com Employee.  What am I talking about?  Everyone here is WELL ABOVE AVERAGE!  I help you get the best service on the internet on the best bodybuilding/fitness/nutrition site on the planet!  This is going to be some general, sometimes personal and maybe some insight to a bbcom’ers life outside the walls of the headquarters.  I’m sure it’ll be boring to most but I need something to do right?  By the way, I’m on my lunch.  I won’t do this on the clock!  Anyways, keep an eye out for it!  I’ll do the best I can to keep it interesting.  KO Noel
