2nd Blog entry today, and My 2nd yr at Hogwarts!
This is the first time I have Blogged twice in a day but I promised my son I’d mention my journey through the world of Harry Potter as I made my way through each book.
So I finished the last two chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Yr 2) early this morning.
My foray into this magical journey again started out of a desire to shar something special with my son who loves these stories so we could have conversations about the tales and to help inspire all my sons to read.
My oldest son and I have always watched movies together from the time he was old enough to go to a movie theater and eventually we found the Harry Potter Movies together and he like milliona of other children worldwide the books as well. This past weekend we had our first sit down about the books and I am proud to say not only am I definately a Harry Potter fan many times over.
But the smile and genuine happiness I brought to my son that he knows (Dad really did read the books!) is priceless.
I feel really good about myself and as a father not that I didn’t before but I really got to feel the experiance of having a positive affect on my children and as a parent when that happens it really can’t be described.
So each trip to the gym so far I have proudly walked in with my Harry Potter books and if I’m luck I knock out 1 to 2 chaps on the recumbant.
Looking forward to starting the 3rd book either this evening or tomorrow morning.

Great entry I can’t wait to read the books with my son he is a bit too young yet but we will be there soon. Keep up on the blog and have a good one okay.

As you mentioned in a previous blog about your parents, your son I’m sure is seeing you as a cool Dad. The smiles from children are what it’s all about, you are right "PRICELESS". Harry Potter has made such an impact in so many lives that as JJanet has said your interest is something I’m sure your son will remember fondly.
