Blog Entry

ok, so now my family thinks I am anorexic or bulemic. What’s the deal?????? I lift heavy (as heavy as my knee and wrist can manage) and I am increasing how much I can do…so I know I am getting stronger.  Is it just that hard to pack muscle onto a tall frame?  I am gonna seriously have to re-evaluate my diet and change things up…Not gonna quit…I want to compete someday…just have to stay positive.

you got it! I am terrified of getting fat. I eat, but it is probably not enough to gain like I want. I would be crushed if suddenly I couldn’t see my abs!!
Thanks for the kind words hon

Ah yes, the good old family. They can be so judgemental. I’ve been subject to this myself. Only you know what’s best for you. Keep at it. The only way you fail at anything is if you quit…

Unless your family members also compete, they have no idea. Nutrition is the KEY–if you’re not eating enough, you won’t gain. My hubby finally figured that out earlier this year and was able to pack on 20lbs. Just make sure you’re eating CLEAN foods (and good carbs like sweet potatoes/yams/oats) and LOTS of clean foods and you shouldn’t add too much fat.
