A WORK IN PROGRESS
Sunday, November 25th, 2007As you’ve seen (if you’ve taken a look at my profile page), I’ve titled my bodyspace "A Work In Progress". This post is aptly titled after that. I’m now a senior in college and I’ve been hard at work trying to knock off fat and build muscle mass since i was a sophomore. Within the past two years, I’ve seen great progress, yet I;m still working dang hard to find new ways to shock the body and make room for further gains. Two years ago (officially in January), I weighed about 182 lbs. and my 5′9" frame looked halfway decent, yet the gut was pudgy. Love handles drove me insane each time I went to wash my face and was confronted by a the mirror! I decided to run like heck, so I grabbed a partner and we committed to 3 miles a day/3 days a week. We eventually increased distance and decreased time so as to get the heart going a bit more, and as a result, I lost 22 lbs. in 4 months! I then had a newly refined, slimmer look. STILL FAR FROM PERFECTION. After a 9-day detox diet consisting of fruits, veggies, rice, water and yogurt, I was 9 lbs. smaller. The love handles were GONE and it was then time to start rockin’ some stell, so I began to hit the gym HARD! I’ve completed LL COOL J’s PLATINUM WORKOUT (which I do STRONGLY recommend) and I’m now working with a weighttraining partner. I’ve managed to toss some pounds back on, the right kind of pounds! I’m now right at 170 lbs, with solid abs and a much nicer physique. I’m on a mission to achieve MASS GAIN and STRENGTH GAIN, so if you guys have any tips, please throw them my way. Also, if anyone is trying to gain mass or lose fat and would like any pointers, feel free to holler at me. I’m no expert, but I’m willing to share from my experience!
