11/1/2006 REST DAY
Friday, November 3rd, 2006Rest day, reflection, mediate and find inner peace. I do all of this so that tomorrow I can hunt down and conquer my goals, crushing them with cold steel. Have no mercy and NEVER QUIT.
Thoughts of the day:
“I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives. Under the impulse of such thoughts, the nobility of the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice.
Chief Edward F. Croker quotes
“The sacrifice which causes sorrow to the doer of the sacrifice is no sacrifice. Real sacrifice lightens the mind of the doer and gives him a sense of peace and joy. The Buddha gave up the pleasures of life because they had become painful to him.
Mahatma Gandhi quotes
“Be the change you want to see in the world.
Mahatma Gandhi quote
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe quotes
