to much protein ??
Ok, I have heard that your body can only break down so much protein in any given meal. My question is relative to your body type and all the other key factors, what is a rough average number? Worried that I may be more or less just wasting what I am forcing into my body. Currently I am trying to bulk, and on average am hitting around 300 grams or more of protein a day @ roughly 170 lbs. Im guessing Im somewhere around 8-9% bodyfat right now as I can still see my abs, but they arent all that defined anymore, lol. Gotta sacrifice though right. Does this sound like to much for one meal?
I drink 3 shakes a day consisting of:
8 egg whites, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 scoop whey protein, 1 teaspoon of glutimein, and ocassionally some fruits for added flavor about 4oz.
Roughly 585 calories, 65g carbs, 70g protein.
On top of that, throughout the day I am eating between 3-4 meals a day with at least 7oz of chicken breast and mixed veggies.
Am I over doing it guys and gals??
