WTF???
Today was leg and ab day. I’m on the leg press with 360lbs plus whatever the bar itself weighs. Onto my second set and about half way through, some lady feels it necessary to interrupt me halfway through to tell me about push ups!? Why do people do that? Way to ruin a good set. Still one more to go, pile on some more weight, push through it and carry on. I feel its damn bad etiquette to interrupt when your in the middle of something, at least wait until the person is finished. That’s my beef for the week, lol.

Wow. Not only rude, but a person could get distracted & injured. Back in college, I was spotting this guy doing something with a 45 lb DB on a bench (probably tricep extensions or lat pullovers). In walks this fella who yells out to the guy I’m spotting, in the middle of his set. This nimrod drops the weight & looks over to his friend. That 45 lb DB dropped onto my big toe. I ended up in the school infirmary, blood all in my shoe & on crutches for 2-3 days.

That is one of my pet peeves in the gym! Talking to someone when they’re in the middle of a set is rude and potentially dangerous. My other is people taking the weights that you’re obviously using because you’ve had the cheek to take a 30 second rest between sets!! I hate bad gym etiquette.

I would have had a sense of humor failure…

MP3 or I pod and head on a swivel. Always looking out for that distraction approaching. The oakleys and a baseball hat can also help.
