Female Bodybuilding vs. Fitness
Ok, I have a question and please blame this on ignorance and the fact that I just don’t know. But how do some women get to bodybuilders and others fitness? Women who bodybuild tend to be bigger and I was under the impression that women do not have the chemical makeup to be that big. Is it chemically induced? Or are their diets and lifting just resulting in those kind of gains? I’m just wondering because I really have no idea. Thx!

It’s a very good question and I hope that you get a lot of responses. Here’s what I know, every woman’s body is different. I’ve met womon who EASILY put on muscle. I’m jealous of them. And then there are those that have to pull tooth and nail to put on any "natural" muscle. Kind of like me. So in that aspect it’s all about what you’re body is most likely to do. Now I don’t want to go off like I know what I’m talking about so I’ll just go off of my own experience. To me, fitness is all about high reps and cardio. You stay fit and lean with not much bulk. I go through bilking phases cause I want the muscle. While I bulk I put on muscle and a bit of fat and then it’s all about getting shredded and trying to not lose much muscle. That includes more cardio and 12-20 rep sets. Like I said I’m just saying what works for me. In my progress pics, you can see there are times when I’m more bulky and then more trim. I love the bodybuilder look so that’s what I go for. That’s just me though. So I hope that a lot of people aswer you, especially those who have competed in both. I’d love to see what they say too. Good luck!

The short answer to your question is "Yes". It can really be either, though diet and exercise play a huge role. Chemically induced is also a relative term; steroids are a possibility, but at the same time, the right combination of supplements at the right time can yield similar (though not as rapid) results.
That’s the best way to explain it without going too deep into it. Women are not genetically predisposed to that type of physique, but it is possible with the right training, diet, and supplementation… and yes, the possible use of steroids or hgh.

im sure that you already got answer, but hear this. women have different body types. just like men. some women naturally get big in size when working out and some women just get cut and tone…just depends on your body type.as for you, for example, you may have the fitness type..you will have muscle but not massive..you’ll have enough to look great and feel great. hope that helps

Thanks everyone! Everyone gave the same round about answer. I have a lot of respect for women bodybuilders however, I am more inclined to the fitness myself. Either way, it takes tons of dedication. thanks for the replys! <3
