Day 15 (Round 2 Transformation)

June 29, 2009

Well scrap the new diet I tried, doesn’t work. No carbs M-F then Carbs on the weekend just put me back at starting weight again. Was down to 198 on Friday, then back to 202 on Monday, lol. I figure I will just hit heavy weight, pack on some muscle for next years muscletech contest.  I’m not done transforming but to be on a diet at this point in my life would be to stressful. I just lost my job and I have a baby coming first week in August.

I’m really down so I won’t be posting blog updates on a regular basis anymore. Maybe when I find a new job I will be in a better mood. Until then I will be pumping it in the gym hard as ever. I will be here if anyone needs help with diet and so on.

Good Luck,

Chris

Day 12 (Round 2 Transformation)

June 26, 2009

My internet was down so I’m posting this a little late today.

Diet is going Super strong. I had a falling out on Wednesday but came back for yesterday and today!! The diet seems to be strong and works very well. I get to add carbs back today and increase my calorie intake. Increasing calorie intake and carbs will allow me to stay sane, give the body needed calories to build some hurt-n’ bombs and prep me for next weeks diet.  Adding carbs and calories will allow me to push the weights harder and be more focused. I already lost 4 pounds that I know of since I started this diet on Monday June 22nd 2009. I will do an official weigh in on Monday June 29th which will be exactly 7 days out. Who knows what the total wieght loss wil be but if it works I can do this diet for life no problem!!  (Increasing calories and adding carbs will also boost the metabolism).

My tummy has already gotten smaller and abs are starting to POP again. I’m so excited!!

Chest and shoulders today, with tri’s..

See you all Monday, I might post late Sat and Sun too.

RIP Michael Jackson

TEMPTATIONS

June 25, 2009

Look at this picture. I have to set next door to this every day. Its in are conference room 15ft from my desk. So no one complain to me about staying on track about diets, lol. :)   Olny the strong servive. ;)

My response to a FORUM question.

June 25, 2009
The Questioner
uhm not sure what the pt of this was? I said I didn’t want to cheat, nor do I have any cravings to. I’m a firm believer if you’re eating properly with correct macros you don’t need to ‘cheat’ because your body is well fed with good stuff. hence no cravings feeling as if you are deprived. Not sure about you, but I know how to cook clean and tasty

I never understood the people that go all wild and binge one day a w eek, not to mention I’m a recovering bulimic.

Also the cheat meals have never helped my metabolism or weight loss, just hindered it.

Thanks and gl with your goals.

My Response,
If you have no cravings then why the post? They have subway, they have low calorie stuff on ALL menu’s at most restaurants. Most hotels have gyms for when your traveling (if not a hotel, the sidewalks and shoes are always down for a good run).. Just my thoughts. You should post some pictures, you must be super fit with the no cravings thing going on. That’s sarcasm.

I was just saying, anyone that diets 24/7 (365) is going to set themselves up for failure, if not today or tomorrow a year from now for sure (no matter how good your macros are). So yes, relaxing and cheats can be good. I never said anything about binging. I was just saying relax and have fun, if you lose the weight when you get back home then why worry so much?

I was just tring to give you a different perspective on things.

What to take from this, no one is right or wrong. We both have different ways of dieting. I have a belief and she has a belief. Point is not everyone diets the same, and not ever diet works for everyone.

Day 11 (Round 2 Transformation)

June 25, 2009

Bounce, bounce, bounce. I bounced off my diet yesterday. Ate some wedding cake and then the drama continued until bed time. The thing to learn about this is that once you go off the deep end you HAVE to jump back on the boat and get back at it the next day. I may have screwed up but the body will not hurt or gain X amount of pounds from one day, it’s when you or I continue to screw up day by day. I actually broke another rule and weighed myself this morning. Since I started my NEW diet on Monday I have lost 4 pounds!!! I weighed 202 and now weigh 198… So I lost 4 pounds in 3 days!!!  Total weight loss since start of transformation is 10 pounds!!! I started at 208 pounds 11 days ago.

My one cheat day I will consider a motab boost.

So today I’m back at it.. 1800 calories and no carbs. 45min of weights and 45min of cardio on a split.

I’m doing heavy as I freaking can on ARMS and BACK today. Time to take advantage of the CARB build up that I created yesterday from my cheat and do it to it. I can hear the muscles ripping now, lol.

EDIT:

Cheats are good, they keep you sane, they boost the metabolism, it’s when you or I continue to cheat day after day with food that is damaging. Having a day off 2 days a week is soemthing I believe is ok to do as long as your working out hardcore the rest of the week.

Remember: It’s better to have a cheat day and feel good about it when you need it to stay sane. If you get all down about the one cheat day and let it effect you mentally, you get down and depressed, that’s when it’s damaging. If you don’t accept the cheat day you will feel like crap and want to eat more and more and more. Don’t get depressed, it’s a cheat, that’s all. Get back to the DIET the next day and let the past be the past. FEEL GOOD ABOUT THAT CHEAT!

DAy 10 (Round 2 Transformation)

June 24, 2009

Wowwie zowwie man. This diet is kicking my butt. 1800 Calories and 30 Carbs yesterday. I cheated on my diet and ate a 80 Calorie (19 Carb) Fruit snack out of my sons big stash. Still stayed at 1800 calories total though, maybe a little lower. I think my cheat wasn’t that bad, could have been way worse. I notice I’ve been going to bed early because I’m hungry and sleeping is the only time I don’t think about food. Good thing I get my carbs back on Friday after 3:30pm. EDIT: After Friday 3:30pm I will bump my calories back up to 2500 until Monday, Monday I will be back to 1800 Calories again.

Anyway. Blah.  Did chest last night, felt ok, no carbs made it a little difficult to get some real awesome pumps but I still pushed through it because I knew I could. My next bench day will be Friday when I get my carbs back so it should be a SUPER pump when the carbs kick in ;) ..

Staying strong.. I can tell the weight is already melting off but no weigh in until Monday. I feel that weighing in to often can be disappointing so I only do it once a week.

Had grilled chicken fried in 1tblsp of melted butter, chopped garlic. Removed chicken from pan and added diced tomatoes to the pan. Scrapped up the flavor from the pan into the tomatoes and then once sauteed poored over chicken. Pretty good and only 365 Calories for breakfast.

Over and out.

Day 9 (Round 2 Transformation)

June 23, 2009

Wow, I feel great. The new diet is going super easy. Knowing that the weeking will be a some what free for all makes things that much easier. If your just dropping in this is my diet.

No Carbs Monday through Friday - Only 1800 Calories a day Monday Thru Friday. Also 50 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weights on a split.

Friday after 3:30 pm I get carbs back until Sunday night. Calories go up to 3000, no carb counting. Cardio stays at 50 minutes, and weights the same too. This should stall my weight on those day and boost the motab.

Then repeat M-f and F-S. Easy cheesy. I will give my first Weight-IN this coming Monday which will be one week on this new diet. Hopefully it works!!!!

Read my blog one day back "The Perfect Diet"  (I’m putting up pictures tonight)

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking since I started round 2 of my transformation for the perfect body. Diet is always one of those things we hate to do. So with that in mind I may have constructed The Perfect Diet, the only thing left to do is test it out. I start that diet today.

I will be eating a TOTAL of 1800 calories today, NO CARBS. I took a multi-v for breakfast and 6oz of ground pan fried hambuger.. (480 Calories total in 6oz 85% lean Hamburger). continue

Exercise and weight lifting continue as normal. Today will be arms and back (45min). Cardio 30mins.

ARM and BACK DAY:

  • Dumbbell Curls 5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Preacher Curls:  5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Dumbbell Curls: 5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Hammer Curls: 5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Barbell Curls:5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Lat Pulldown:  5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Seated Cable Rows:5 sets of 8-10 reps
  • Bent Over Barbell Row: 5 sets of 8-10 reps

    The perfect diet…

    June 21, 2009

I’ve been in the laboratory off and on for the last 30 weeks or so. As you can see from my transformation that took 14 weeks I did an ok job of molding my body. Only problem with the 14 week diet I was on, it was very strict and not something that can be done on a day to day basis. So. I have been thinking and reading and testing different kinds of methods and I believe I may have found The Perfect Diet. Something that can be done everyday without the need of starvation.

Here it is, take it or leave it…

Monday through Friday. Starting at the time you wake up on Monday until 3:30pm on Friday we eat nothing but meats. That means chicken, steak, hamburger, fish and ANYTHING without CARBS in it. Of course you limit the amount of calorie intake Monday through Friday to lets say 2000 Calories for the average sized person. (Cals my differ from person to person). The point of only meats Monday through Friday is this. Anything with Carbs in it truns into glucose, glucose is used for energy and any unused energy turns into FAT, yes fat.  Now lets forget that glucose is used to power the muscles in high intensity work outs for a minute.

Now take away carbs, what form of energy will your body use for, lol, energy  for lifting or cardio. That’s the fun part. Your body will be forced to use fat cells for energy. Now without carbs the body will also try to use muscle for energy and we don’t want to burn muscle. That’s where the meats come in handy. Meats are FULL of protein which help build muscle. This will offset any muscle wasting or catabolism.

Ok. Long read but we are almost done. Now that we have a Super way to burn tons of fat during the week, GREAT!!. Now the part that makes this different from any diet you may have read about.

Friday at 3:30 we start adding carbs back, because we all know it’s easy to go off a diet on the weekend due to the fact we want to eat good foods and relax. So at 3:30pm Friday we can eat ANY carbs we want. Now that doesn’t mean go crazy and eat 5000 calories a day. That means don’t worry about counting calories or carbs but with the idea we can relax and not worry about dieting so much.

So Friday 3:30 thru Sunday we can eat, and eat good. To off set this somewhat we will me doing 50-60 minutes of low intensity cardio on the weekends. You must do the cardio.

    To round off.

Low calorie no carbs Monday thru Frida until 3:30pm. Monday thru Thursday Weights for 45 min, and also 30min of cardio.

Friday thru Sunday eat whatever. Do 50mins of cardio each day Friday thru Sunday and weights 45min.

In closing you will be losing most of your weight Monday thru Thursday. Friday Thru Sunday you may lose weight or at least you will not gain. This is a perfect for life diet plan. The Perfect Diet.

    <strong />

I will be starting this diet Monday JUNE 22nd. I will weigh in, then I will weigh in weekly results until July 15th.
