Very cool things in this blog, you may want to read it::::::::::

This week I am trying something  different, plus it’s a win win for everyone … I am completely frustrated with my legs at this point, and Master’s is less then 4 weeks away…  I know I will not be able to change them that fast, nor do I expect too.  However, I have a good 5 weeks before my final show of the season, and then it’s off season, yippy.

So, I thought it would be pretty cool to get some much needed feedback from my  new friends here on body space…   plus, I will have gifts for the top 3 exercises that I pick to try out  ..

I know you are anticipating and waiting to find out how this is  all going to work (or would that just be the gifts)… either way, this is going to be fun…

Guess I will start with the leg workout  that I am  looking  for:  Basically,  I am looking for a killer move for legs, something that will break down the fibers and really make me not be able to walk or move for days, ok maybe not that intense, but something needs to change. 

The top three who submit a cool exercise that could help me out will receive a gift from me.  The exercise I am most interested in would be for the quads. Again something that will hit them hard, the exercise will have to also include how much weight and rep’s as well as sets that I would or should do.  All of my stat’s are on my page, and feel free to check out all the pictures so you have a good idea of what I would like to change.

Today was my first ever spin class… Ouch the burn (I love it)…

 

Trying to do some different things to get the legs to respond more.  The theme for the spin class was sprints and hills and of course this is not known until your are set up on the bike and the instructor looks out over the class with the devilish smile and in a very calm voice relays the pain that is forthcoming…

 

The class was 45 minutes long and I really had a great time.  I could feel the quads burning when we were doing the sprint intervals, which is what I need to get my legs to grow…

Down to 4 Weeks to go until Master’s National’s (I can’t wait)…

 

Check back often in the next few weeks, a lot is going on…  Plan on doing new pictures tomorrow and keeping them fresh so everyone can watch the transformation up to show time….  I also plan on hitting the gym hard this week… so all kind of updates are on the way…  

 

Speaking of tomorrow, it is one of my favorite days at the gym— back day, I love working the back, and not only the lifting part but some of the exercise, such as the seated row gives the back such a good stretch…  I want to concentrate on the V taper, as well as my lats in order to try and bring them out just a bit more before the show…

 

Diet is steady and still just in cruise mode for now

Leg Day:

 

Ok, so I’m trying to stay heavy with the weights and being 5 weeks out from Master’s is a tough combination. 

 

I like doing legs on Sunday, hardly anyone is at the gym, and plus I do progress and posing pictures for my coach every week, which works out good for sore legs (ouch).. Maybe I should start doing the pictures before the workout…

 

Still would have enjoyed meeting Sean ( the leg guy) and having a chance to do a different routine for legs, but hopefully we can get together this coming weekend…

 

Leg routine for today was as follows:

 

Lunges around the track at gym

Leg press, feet high and wide

Squats

Dead lifts

Leg extensions

Hamstring curls

Butt and glut machine

Deep squats with free weight

 

Then finished off the day with sit ups.  I do not mind doing legs and actually today turned out to be a great workout…  I really want to get my legs just a little bit bigger…

Well today I was going to meet my new leg trainer, however at the last minute our appointment was cancelled…  I am very disappointed; I was looking forward to today for over 2 weeks.  But I hope we can get our schedules together for next week…

 

With Master’s National’s right around the corner, I am going to have to step it in high gear to get my legs to respond.  Plan on going to the gym tomorrow and see how hard I can push them…..

 

Also, talking about this week, (I am guessing) today was my last cheat meal, it sure was good…. I get to talk to my coach on Sunday, so we shall see…

 

Since I did not train today as I had hoped for, my husband and I of course did not waste the day and did some much needed pictures to update my body space.  Also we hope to use some for my “work in progress” web site, which should be done close to National’s. 

 

On my site I am going to feature some pretty cool stuff, so be sure to check back often at www.tinatodd.com…..  Also, in the works (possibly) is a DVD … more information on this soon… maybe in a few weeks.  Plus I should be nice and lean for the video if it works, as it’s competition season…

 

Keeping my hopes high for National’s, I am just so happy I am going. The placing will be what it will be, however the experience will only make me better….and I’ll  just keep pushing harder…..

With 5 weeks as of this coming weekend to go until Master’s National’s I am just trying to maintain my diet from the Lehigh Valley show.  I am keeping cardio the same and trying to stay focused on my main goal of turning pro in the near future.

 

I look forward to this next show, not only because it is my first National show, but also for the experience at this level and getting to meet new people who have the same interest and goals as myself.  I love the excitement and energy that comes along with competing.

 

In addition, getting feedback from the judges is something I look forward to at the end of the night.  I think this is always a good thing to do, regardless of where you place.

Getting ready for Master’s National’s.  I will be 5 weeks out this coming Saturday (June16th).  I am very excited to reach the National level for my next show. 

Feeling really good right now, energy level is high,  and  just keeping  my goal in front  of me,,,,,  to turn pro..
