TDetroit’s ramblings and nonsense

It is day 14 of trying to do 6000 situps in as short a time as I can.  I lost count.  It was 2680 before,  but I can’t recall how many i’ve done the past few days.  Lot’s of stuff going on:  working late and long hours with clients, taking care of the wife, nearly got arrested for trying to bash someones head with a bat, taking the kids to soccer.  In between all that, I did a whole bunch of situps - actually it was easy to do them with all the bottled up anger I have right now.

I found out I owe a fine.  I am not going to pay it, because I am not the one who did the crime.  In a round about way, this means my wife will die a horrible death without health insurance.  But that’s is the way her family wants it.  The bastards have put me in legal trouble, let them decide if it is worth paying my fines - if they can, but I will not right that check - no way.

It’s a stand off, they honestly believe they can let me rot, they apparently don’t see how this works, I am totally ready for her death, they still believe they can have my money and her.  It doesn’t work that way, the health insurance is mine, if no one pays for it, it goes away.  Since they have my money, the choice is theirs. 

As you can tell, I am quite pissed off right now.  check me later.

So I acquired binoculars with a built in digital camera (loon story).  I’ve been really excited.  lot’s of pics of geese, ducks, heron, egret, deer, etc.  pretty darn cool.

I’ve told many people about this gadget. it’s pretty darn cool, did I mention.  and almost everyone has joined me in thinking so.

then I told a receptionist at a place (I talk to everyone).  she was like.  whoah! I’d be afraid of people having that.  now I have to close my curtains.

what?  first of all, I like sex, so why didn’t I think of that.  had this damned gadget for 4 weeks and never thought of the sexual uses thereof.  I must be getting old.  and second, is she saying something about me?  hey, I’m not a peeping tom.  not yet at least.  I need practice first.  but that’s besides the point.  i am still relatively attractive, no wrinkles, v-shaped back (mostly), normal face, she should want me aas her peeping tom.  I am way better than the normal aqualung who peeps.  can you believe I got shot down before I even learned to use the camera (which I didn’t even think to use until I got shot down).  damn!

maybe I should’ve offered her the opportunity to peep me?  I don’t even have curtains, and she spend all evening in my yard with her camera.  unfortunately, there isn’t much going on.  I just check my e-mail, check out bb.com, and another ….space that shall go unmentioned here, and then go to bed.  Oh, and I wathc the news.

Am I that boring?  maybe I should do some naked jumping jacks in the window….

I have been busy lately setting up the wine tasting event for a chamber of commerce I am a member of.  it’s our first one, can’t believe that.  the organization is almost 90 years old and never had a wine tasting.

anyway, being the first one, we are all worried about how many people will be attending.  if we can make it an annual event, then we can get more people assured to come.  we only need 40 people to break even on cost.  I am hoping to get at least 80 people. 

Don’t you love when you open your mouth and say something and the next thing you know, you got the job.  I didn’t ask to be the committee chair for a wine tasting event, I only asked if we should have one.  meaning, shouldn’t one of these other guys take on the responsibility of organizing a wine tasting event?

So if you are going to be in Warren, MI today at 6pm, jusst come by Champane’s on 13 mile rd. (old chicago)  we’ll be there.

the nimrod at the oil change place fried his brain and started yapping about how he wants it to get hotter.

Spoken like a guy who doesn’t have to wear a tie all.  Right now I want to get nekked and go have a conversation with the boss about the weather.  I am sweating like a sunbather on the beach at Hedo.  I need water.  I dieing. 

… and this isn’t even as hot as it get’s. 

You know what would help?    Sex!  yeah, hot sweaty sticky slick sex.  you know the dirty kind, on top of the car kind, on the drive-way on top of the car.

We had out first almost 90 degree day in MI.  It’s hot to us, you people south of the Mason-Dixon are just plain nuts. 

A group of us had already planned to go golfing and so we met at 11 am, it was already 85 degrees.  It never got much hotter than that, we only got to 89, but that is too hot for us.  I thought I was going to die.  Man was not meant to go out and play in that weather.

Really nice golf course though. 

Then at night it rained.  No one wanted to leave.  It was like dropping Lake Huron on us.  Not rain, just pouring water.  3 hours - nonstop.   we finally bit the bullet and went out to the cars and drove away - it cleared up just 5 min into the trip home.  Could’ve stayed…

I got nothing but a bunch of leaves and 2 branches down - plus I had to go out and pick up the bucket that blew across the yard.

now the power is out (on laptop right now), and we are all bored and it’s hot and muggy and I don’t want to move.

and there are too many camned mosquitos around here…

Last night I did my shopping for supplies.  I got the whey, the RTD’s, the Protein bars, the Cheerio’s, etc.

However, in the bread section, there were no whole wheat tortillas.  What!?!  I always have my peanut butter on whole wheat tortilla.  No jelly, just peanut butter on whole wheat tortilla.  Sam’s Club!  They only buy if it’s cheap.  It isn’t cheap because the wheat went up in price! 

 Wait, that doesn’t make any sense.  They had plenty of wite tortillas.  2 talbes stacked as tall as possible.  so wh no the whoel wheat?  They are essentially the same except that one has bleach added to the flavor (that’s why I don’t want it- we have been assured that eating bleach is not bad for us, but I’m not too trusting of that assurance)

Besides, I would think that adding the bleach would make it cost more.  I mean, not adding bleach would save money for the flour company wouldn’t it.  Plus the white ones are fully ground, and the whole wheat are only partially ground.   So should the whole wheat be the norm and the white be the expensive option.  I ‘m just sayin’ from the point of view of a Graduate of Michigan State University Business School, where we learned that inputs drive cost/price.  Hence the reason that wiring for house are not made of gold.  True it is a better conductor, but it is too expensive, so they use copper, it has higher resistance, but the price is right.

So now I am wondering, where do they make flour?  I mean, can we stage a protest?  Can we get 7 body builders with picket signs to march in a circle until they are dizzy and fall down?  Can we call the news and tell them to film it and make it look like 700 body builders?  (that’s how they do the war protests- if those nimrods can do it, I’m sure that an intelligent crowd like us can hadle it with stars)

Who’s with me?  wherever that may be?  probably not near here, so I probably won’t be there.  so, um, make sure you do a good job!  You are speaking for all of us when you protest wherever you protest these protestable things that get protested by protesting.  and don’t forget the dramamine for the dizziness.

ok, so I ‘ve been up since 5:30 am (5:36 - see previous blog entry re: idiot and furnace), now it is 4:30pm, and I am whipped.  Only 5 more hours to bed time.

I could crash right now.

 you know, they gave me a new office, with lot’s of real estate.  there is nothing in the other half of the room, I could just shut off the lights and doze a few….

OK, so now the schedule is switched.  The wife has cancer and is on disability.  Today was my first day to get up and go to work by 8 am instead of putting the kids on the bus.

I had to wake up at 5:30 am to accomplish taking out the dog, light workout (doesn’t count for blogging), shower, make my lunch (major undertaking), answer my e-mails, etc.

I don’t care what anyone says, the human body was not meant to functiion at 5:30 am!

Plus, some idiot who thinks he knows best came home last week and decided that it’s now warm in Michigan and we can turn off the furnace.  That same idiot is the one who was first awake this morning (at 5:30) and had to spend 6 mins daring hisself to get out from under the blankets to go turn it back on.  I hope the idiot enjoyed taking a shower in a frozen bathroom- even the hot water could warm that up.  (it is now almost 10 am and I am still shivering)

The good news is that the wife called, she had to put the girls on the bus - I had to put the boys on the bus, reversed rolls remember - she wants to trade back.  HELL NO!  Give me the boys anytime.  They might be stupid teenage boys who don’t know how to comb their hair and can’t remember to brush their teeth, but you just tell them and it’s done.  for the girls, I have one word - ORDEAL!

It’s all yours honey, you squeezed out those puppies, I just shot the load.  Enjoy!

Yup, it is an all over body workout.  Highly recommended.  After all of these years pushing a pencil, I really feels good to get back into construction.  don’t forget to wear some sort of gloves when working with bricks or blocks, they really tear up your skin.

So I was on the phone, and noticed that my bicep was in pain from holding the phone up to my ear.  Infact, as I type this, I can feel the pain building.  Mid back, calves, groin, quads, hammies, biceps, triceps, upper back everything hurts except abs - they seem to never feel pain.

Planning on waking tomorrow to do sprints and try to make it to the office by 8 am (first time in 3 years), it’s a 45 min drive, so it will be tough to do.  I’ve never done this drive during rush hour - i’ll get some blood pressure pills for the ride - I hate all other drivers.  If it was up to me there would only be one driver’s license - MINE!
