Plan to increase squats
If my theoretical 1 rep max is 309, then the 12 week program to increase to the next level would be:
week 1 2×12 215
week 2 2×10 225
week 3 2×9 235
week 4 2×8 245
week 5 2×7 255
week 6 2×6 265
week 7 2×5 275
week 8 2×4 285
week 9 2×3 295
week 10 2×2 305
week 11 rest
week 12 test
but I think I will go to 225 on the first week for 2×10 and 225 on the second week for 2×12
225 is easier, because it is 2 plates per side, that = less thinking, and if you are body building, that’s a good thing. JUST DO IT!!
so that’s my plan, 12 weeks, and get to 325 for a 1 rep max. it will be the theoretical max, I am not nuts enough to put 325 on a bar and squat. I’ll put 305 on the bar and try to do 3 reps, that is equal to 323 = close enough to 325 to call even. so that’s the plan
