OK, I am pretty much planned out.
When I lift for charity, it will be a barbell squat. I will use a horizontal sensor, this will stick out into the squat area. I have to squat down until my hammy touches it. that’s a full level squat. ATG is not in the rules, especially since it has no benefit to me in the form of excercise. next rule I will lift 305 lbs as many times as I can and use the bb.com calculator to record my max.
There will be 2 lifting dates. end of May, and end of August. the difference in lbs lifted will acrue pledges for the gardeners to use to run the farm which donates all of it veggies to chairty.
Am I missing any additional rules?
The plan is to find a public place that has a weight room. then I can bring people in to view the lift. so as to see it for themselves. maybe the place can raise money for their own charity. I am thinking like the high school gym. they can sell refreshments for the football boosters or whatever they do.
all I have to do is eat and excercise, sacrifice my body for chairity. sounds easy. the second test will prob be with 315 on the bar. I expect to be at 323 on the first lift. and maybe 334 on the second. that’s 11 lbs. so a pledge of $1 per lbs would be $11 for charity. get 100 people to do that, and it’s $1100 for charity. that’s a lot of seeds for a garden

BB Squat 2×8 at 245
BB Bench 1×3 at 135 warmup
4×4 at 165 (one set was perfect - the second - the first set, spotter helped a little on 4th rep - didn’t like the spotter for 3rd and 4th sets, I really did 163 2×4 because he kept his fingers under the bar)
Deadlift 2×8 at 245 yes, i know I said I don’t like to do these on the same day as squats - but I had fun at the NCAA regionals on Friday night, so I got doubles up again
3 min arc trainer at resistance 45, burned 56 cals
lat pull down 1×10 @100
1×10 at 115
1×5 at 130 it’s hard to remain seated at this weight
calf press 3×10 at 135 (teehee, he walks funny…)
laying reverse flies 2×10 at 20
laying arm extensions 2×5 and 1×3 at 80 (if you re-arrange the order, it is really difficult to do some lifts. I’ve done this at the beginning of a workout and it was 85 lbs 6×6)

It is not planned, I have a club meeting tonight, but I am going to skip it. I’m itching to work off some stress.
Avoid the squats and deads, just 3 min cardio’s and various strength training.

Perfect Pushup 31 - yes, a new high (when I did 30, I made it half-way up on 31, this time I just refused to give up. I couldn’t even relax in the lock out, I had to immediately drop me knees to the floor and stop. 32 is next)

So we went to Ponderosa for mid-day snack (we had a real meal back here at the condo later). I was amazed at the behaviour of some people.
There were people there who obviously eat at toooooo many buffets. Some of them were sooo big, that they could barely move.
You know, at some point you have to admit it’s the eating habits. Even though it is a buffet, I did not over eat. Don’t give that stuff about how wome are a slave to the food. yes, it’s a disease, but the cure is will power, and step 1 is too admit that you are powerless. Get help, and get out of the buffet.
If you go to a restaurant, you eat. If you go to a bar, you drink. If you go to kinda-grossa, you overeat. It’s very simple. If your problem is overeating, don’t go where you will overeat. Make choices of will-power. make good decisions.
So, I am trying to get to the salad bar, and a big woman is in the way. I huff and give an audible sigh of frustration, but to no avail. she will walk very slowly to the bad food, and she doesn’t care that she is jacking me up. (but she expects me to care about her - duh, not going to happen unless I get some reciprocation)
It doubly pisses me off, because I know that my tax dollars will eventually go to help her out of the results of her overeating. she’ll get diabetes and I have to pay for it. she’ll need knee replacement, and I’ll have to pay for it. Here’s a thought, how about if she doesn’t go to kinda-grossa, and saves her money so SHE can pay for it. why do ihave to pay for her bad decisions.
I am tired of me being punished for other peoples crimes.
Yes, I am talking about the Supreme court hearing the DC hand gun case. I have never committed a felony. So why am I therefore, prhibited from bearing a hand gun when I visit DC. There is no reason to believe I will commit a hand gun crime. so why am i being punished? because that is how it’s done in a free society. you punish the innocent, and allow the guilty to run free.

Feeling it all over. Probably not a good idea to do 2 major lifts and plus a workout all in one day.
the right hammy and the left lower back have a tightness and pain. this has greatly reduced the flexibility. I tried to do my normal stretching, but I am severly hampered by stiffness. Plus, sleeping in a strange bed has also caused pain and stiffness all over. My whole spine is out of whack. my neck is all bunched up from the wrong pillow.
oh well, this too shall pass. can’t wait to get home and sleep normal.
I should rant sometime on people’s need to get away from home. but not today…

Have a lot going on, and all I am doing is sitting.
But, in between all the activity, I am catching a lot of great stuff on cable tv. I don’t have cable at home because it’s too expensive and I don’t like 90% of the stuff that is on. However, today I am not home and I saw the History of Fleetwood Mac, and now I am catching Animal House.
Hopefully later, I’ll catch the Spartans and Pitt. Go Green, Go White!
