I jogged from the club house to the fitness room. Don’t know how far, but it is up and down the whole way. Exhausted and quads hurting, Ilimped into the gym and and hit the total body workout 1 time through. Everything was at max weight, and I pushed to fail in several excercises. then I limped back to the condo, and collapsed. Sucked down a protein drink and laid in bed for an hour.

It started with no hot water in the condo where we are staying. Called maintenance, guy came out and said it should be ok. Waited 30 min. still no hot water. So I went to the club house to tell them, and then proceeded to the other half of the property to the bigger fitness room. Actually a pretty good selection considering it is not a real gym.
Got in a good total body workout. I had to do it all from memory, ended up with biceps after chest. So I had to improvise to get one excercise between them. Then I tried to jog back to the condo.
One thing about resorts - the hills. Some are big, some are small, but what is important is how many of them there are. There is no flat land. Everything is either up or down. You don’t jog to far in these conditions. When I got back to our clubhouse, there was a guy there who just finished a run. I asked him how far he went, he said to the last condo on the other side of the lake. The other side is straight up, I would never try it! He looked like he wanted to lay down and die.
Then I took out a canoe and did some fishin. Does paddling count as tricep excercise? It felt like it.

The weather in Missouri. That must be why they call it Misery! We don’t have this kind of weather in MI.
It’s like standing in the doorway of a blast furnace.
Looking for a place to go hiking in the Ozarks. No one here seems to know what I am talking about. It’s like explaining space travel to a cave man (no offense to the cave-people out there, it’s just that… come on… you really are not all that bright…. you know with the forehead and all). Anway, \i am prepared to go hiking and see some vistas, we’ll see what actually happens.

I am finding it difficult to eat at the right time, and to eat the right amount. Yesterday I know I ate too much, today I am hungry, but we don’t have enough food in the fridge. Tomorrow will be screwed up as we switch resorts. Then we go to store for real, I can eat good for the rest of the week.
MO is a good state. clean, the bugs aren’t too bad (though you’ll never get rid of them), but it’s hot here. Too hot to go running and such, hence I will do no such thing.
More later.

Went to pay my phone bill last night. There is a charge for $15.85. Some company called Voice Mail Professionals Inc. Apparently at some point I clicked on their website and signed up. for what I don’t know. AT &T wiped them from my bill, but I still get the pleasure of calling them and telling them to stick it.
Normally I would enjoy telling them to stick, but I am pissed and want to do something worse. So I gave the job of telling them to stick it….TO MY WIFE! Hahahaha! That will teach them to mess with me. Iswear that woman can literally reach through the phone and tear their head off.
I love it when a plan comes together!
Damn, spam carp heads. To think, Ted Kuscinski wasted all those mail bombs on nice people when he could have been sending them to Voice Mail Professionals, Inc. What a dumbass, I hope he rots in jail forever, and when he dies, they should just leave his body there.
Which brings me to the gas station law suit. Apparently, some gas stations are suing 3 big oil companies for collusion. They conspired to keep gas prices high in CA, and now there is a lawsuit. I knew the news would report this wrong, because that’s what newscasters do. Very few TV newscasters are good at their jobs. Anyway, it sounds (if you watch the news) as if this lawsuit comes from the recent rise in gas prices. (It’s all George Bush’s fault) Actually, the lawsuit is being filed for actions that occurred before Bush was President, when "The filanderer" was President. That’s right you heard it correctly here first. The collusion period was from 1998 to 2001, BC (Bill Clinton). It has nothing to do with George Bush, but I bet everyone in CA thinks it does, because as bad as newscasters are at doing their jobs, CA residents are even worse at being intelligent.
Ok, I’m done.

Put 30lbs on the DBs and did some curls and etc. Also did some pushups and leg lifts.
No workouts rest of the week, preparing for big weekend. Lot’s of work to do before hand.
This is an example of life getting in the way.

Not from any workout, last night we did the fantasy draft. I have to do it from work, because I have dial up at home. We do it on line because we live all over the country.
Anyway, we finished at almost midnight, I got home at 12:30. Had to be up at 8am. So now I am tired.
No workout today, as I will be attending the middle school open night with my son. He get’s to see where his classrooms will be and his locker. I can’t wait to shove him out the door at 6:15 everymorning for the next 7 years. Sounds great.

On September 11, 1857, 120 settlers travelling cross country to California were savagely murdered. The murder was initially blamed on indians (native Americans). Though it might have been a mormon militia.
The event has recently been made into a movie called September Dawn. The topic is a great idea for a movie. I like this genre, and so do many others. I also liked the Donner party story and Alive.
The story has always been a great story. It could have been made into a movie anytime in the past 30 years. But it wasn’t made into a movie until late year and released this year.
So the question is: "Why now?"
Could it be that there is a mormon running for President in 2008? Hmmm….
It always seems like movies that could cast a bad light on a group opposed to the lifestyle of Hollywood is not produced until someone from that group is in for election. Could Hollywood be trying to influence the election with a left handed comment on Latter Day Saints? I would never underestimate the power mongers of LA. This is what they do. It is always about their power.
They victimized Shirley Temple, The 3 Stooges, and Redd Fox. These are not good people. Never trust them.

I had to cancel my Sunday afternoon workout do to work, but my Sunday night cards with the guys was cancelled, so I went to the gym.
I went through the total body workout times plus an extra back excercise. It was great, I am sore all over, but really pumped. I hit everything and increased the weights and dropped the reps for more.
Had a protein bar afterward, and went home for a protein meal a little later. All in all, it was a good day for working out.

Let’s see,
I moved 2 cabinets, one across the room, 1 out the front door and around the house to the basement door.
Took apart 1 cabinet and the kids dragged the peices out to the burn pile
Fixed the pool leak
weeded the garden
took my cousin on a tour of the yard to show him where to use his back hoe
cleaned out and rearranged under the bed (this is where I store my corporate swag)
etc.
Now I am tired. If it is not lifting, it should at least count for cardio.
That’s my Saturday,
I hope all of you had more fun,
T
