Fun weekend

We went to Lake Michigan this weekend.  Had fun on the sand dunes at silver Lake, and spent some time on the beach.  My in-laws were trying out a new beach house for our annual vacation.  It’s a nice house, a few problems, but they all have compromises.

 I brought some DBs with me and was avle to get some small amount of work out.

Going away for the weekend.

I’ll be in Silver Lake, MI for the weekend.  I won’t be online if you are looking for me.

 On Monday, I will be in a golf outing, so I’ll be out all day that day too.  Maybe I’ll blog in the morning before I leave.  Not much of a golfer, but in a scramble everyone is useful.

I’ll be bringing some DBs with me this weekend so I can do some work, but it’s only 30lbs, so it won’t be a big workout.

Finally 170 lbs.

I hit it.  It probably is water retention from some pizza, but I hit it. 

I pumped a lot of protein before bed too.  Weird day yesterday.  Icouldn’t get anything to go right, and had to figure diet on the fly.  End with last meal at 10:30 pm. 

Packed a light lunch today, I’ll have to eat on the road, because it is a ling driving day.

I was checking my site and noticed another popular personailty on bb.com has taken down her bodyspace.  It’s a shame, I will miss her.

Totally messed up meal day, I got side tracked by client meetings, and fitday is acting up, so I have no way of tracking my meals for the day other than to eat my entire lunch box, which I am doing as I write this.

I hope it is enough cals to sustain my weight and maybe even gain muscle with the workout this morning.

Messed up morning.

I was supposed to get my brakes done while at the gym.  But the kids messed me up, no one wanted to walk the dog, so I had to do it.   I didn’t have enough time to pack my lunch and get them to my mom’s for the day and get to the garage.  So I went to the gym anyway, but I realized I forgot my tie, socks, shoes, and belt.  So I went back home to shower after the work out and wasted a lot of time in the wrong direction.   Ahhhhhh!

 Work out was good.  It was arms plus deadlifts and inclined bench press.  All went good, I am recovering well from the weakness of being sick.

Grilled chicken on tortilla

Has anyone ever noticed how dry chicken is?  No it is not overcooked, it just doesn.t have a hollandais sauce (butter with taragon et al).  It needs a sauce.  Something to add flavor.  I have some pasta sauce in the fridge, I think I’ll try to figure a way of making a chicken in sauce I can bring to work.  It will need cheese, which is fine during a bulk, but what about next month on my cut (if it happens)?  Then I’ll be back to dry chicken on tortilla with a little mustard.

 Forgot my gym card last night, it was in my workout planner which was on my desk at work.  so I had to do the workout from memory.  Not too difficult, I had opted for the same as last week with higher weights.  Squats went well.  2×2 at 205, 205 used to be my 1 rep max.  Next week is screwed up.

 This weekend we are on vacation to Silver Lake north of Grand Rapids.  So I’ll miss my Sunday workout.  But we can do abs at the lake before we leave, and then since my I supposed to rest my legs before the squat test the next week, I can do upper body on Tuesday (leg day), and continue as normal.

 Plan to start Squat test at 225 and see if I can go higher from there.

Gained the weight back from being sick, now I am almost back on track.

Did right arm workout last night.  Just 3×10 DB curl at 20 lbs.  I’ll try to sneak this in strategically between workout days.  I want to give heal time before and after real workouts, but the weaker arm needs a little extra work.  Also did some slow pushups.  Those are very exhausting, I’ve never done them to fail, I should try it some time.

 Tonight is legs.

According to fitday, I consumed more than I burned, so I should gain.  I will do some curls with my right arm tonight before bed, hopefully correct the imbalance if I do this often.

 Hey, I am still at work and I am hungry, anybody got any food?  Home is a long way off, I am sure if you mail it, it will be here before I get home.  Those darn granola bars make me hungry.  I could eat 100 per day and still be hungry.  Maybe someone will bring in bagels tomorrow.

 Tomorrow is leg day, going for 2×2 at 205.  Watch out superlegs on the way.

The eating level is up, I am hungry, I am not sore, I just wish I didn’t lose the strength in my right arm.  Hopefully it will come back soon.

No workout tonight, yesterday was enough.  Today is rest.

Tomorrow is legs.  Big day, last leg workout before retesting squats.  2×2 at 205 tonight, maybe push an extra or 2 on the last set if I feel good.

Father’s Day

Today I took the family to the gym to celebrate my day. Haha. Well, it is my day, so we do what I want to do. Right? And on Mother’s Day I wanted to go to the gym, so we did that too. I the world of anthropology, we call it Alpha. So after being sick for three days, it was like I was set back 6 weeks in my work out. My right arm was waaaaaay off and weak. I hope to get back soon. There isn’t much time to get my weight back either…. Which leads to the best part of any holiday… Going to my mom’s house. Italian woman, kitchen, her kids and grands are coming over. What do you think she did? That’s right. I ate a lot. My weight will be coming back around, and with the constant working out until the end of the month, I should gain a lot of muscle, and then cut for July to get to single digit BF% A domani, (unitl tomorrow) T
