I feel a surge of energy. It is 6pm on Saturday, and I am at work. Maybe I’ll just pick up the building and move it closer to home so the commute is not so far.
As a side note, every time I sneeze, I feel a painful pulling in my left rhomboid. Ouch. Maybe I should work that muscle and make it stronger. (Or I could get healthier and not sneeze - nah, too easy. The Iron Ego strikes again)

Instead of 3200 cals per day, I will now go for 3600. 175, here we come.
Now, all I have to do is figure out how to eat that much without going broke.
Any ideas?

I am eating enough food, but I am still losing weight. It is very difficult to bulk up when breathing burns too many calories.
I swear to you, I’ve been choking down food until I feel like I am going to puke. Some meals are a little off schedule, but I get the cals back when I sit for a meal.
Someone tell me what I am doing wrong. The target is only 3200 cals per day, 3400 on workout days. Yet I have lost 3 lbs and I am back in the 160’s at 169. I seriously do not think it will be possible to eat more. Just like Monty Python’s Meaning of Life, even if it is only waifer thin, I will explode.

I got messed up at work, and missed meal. (mostly forgot to eat, but I Really was busy).
So now, as I type one handed, I hold a grilled chicken sandwich. I am trying to pound the calories into my tummy, so as to catch up to where I am supposed to be. It’s a difficult job, but someone has to do it. You know that food is not going to eat itself.
I feel sick. Fortunately, I will digest it before I get to the gym, and I will be ready for my arms workout.

As posted previously, I really pushed it Tuesday night. Now the soreness is setting in. At first it was in my arms, they are the first in line. I really felt it in my tris and forearms. But now, the lat are feeling it. Every move of my torso is an aggravated pinch.
On the good side of this. I can actually see improvement on my pecs and lats from MOnday. When I hit 175, I’ll do new pics. Then I will head into the cut.

And there is traffic.
You see Woodward is under construction. Only 2 of the 4 lanes are open. Now you would think that if 2 lanes are open for 3 miles, the traffic would even out and then flow. But your thinking would be wrong.
You see at the end of the 3 mile stretch are 2 traffic lights, only 100 yards apart. This confuses the drivers. Because when the first one turns green, the second is still red for a few seconds. So being that they are faced with one red and one green light, they become paralyzed until both are green.
To top it all off, once they are both green, the drivers then need to decide IF they are going to go. So theere is a delay as they contemplate the ramifications of going through the intersection.
And we are not finished. Once they decide to go, they then need the drivers manual to help them figure HOW to go. Let me explain…
Theere is no time, let me sum up…
They don’t know that the pedal on the right makes the car go. They are idiots.
If it was up to me, there would only be one drivers license in the world - MINE.

I pushed everything.
On the bench press, I went slow and contrated the pecs with each press (the way you are supposed to), I think I will be in pain forever. Last night was 2×4 at 125, but on the second set, I pushed to 5 reps on the flat bench, and 6 reps on the decline bench. Changed the overhead press form 3×10 at 65 to 5×5 at 65,65, 70,70,75. I wanted to get a feel for it. On Sunday, I will probably go for 5×5 at 75. Used the other pec fly machine, it requires a higher weight, so I guessed, it was at the highest possible limit. Third set was only 9 reps.
Played with the bent over row machine. Don’t know the official name. Put 60 lbs on it. I think I can do more, I’ll have to check with someone re form first. Did bent over BB rows, according to the T_Phillips workup to a test schedule. So it was 2×12 at 105. Next week is 2×11 at 110. I think I will push past 140 (old max easily).

I forget every year the benefits. MI does have a south beach, or Rodeo Dr. We have Birmingham. The security gaurd at the Comerica on Hamilton gets to watch MI’s prettiest ladies walking to and fro, seemingly aimless wandering only to show their legs and the see-through slacks with the thong sticking out. Hey, it’s MI, not like we are up on skin flashes.
Another bene is lunch. This is the time of year when everyone wants to take me to lunch. Pretty cool.

That ailment that laid me up is back. I have better control of it this time because it didn’t sneak up on me, but it is laying me low. sore throat, tired, some soreness (maybe that is the golf in the 90+ and humid weather).
I made 172 on a high protein day. Golf outing, plus Italians = good eats. We have the gazebo at 15, sausage and fruit and cheeses. Then the barbeque at the clubhouse, hamburgers and pork and beans. Then the gazebo again as you pass it one more time. Then the dinner. Let’s say I protein loaded on the outing.
Today is upper body. I am resting legs for a squat max test next week. Probably I’ll do some legs tonight, but not a whole program.
