Nov 3- Training {Biceps/Triceps & HIIT}

Today marks my daily blogging that I am starting. I haven’t been very faithful in blogging but I think it will be a good way to keep myself accountable and to track my workouts to ensure my progress is going the way I want it to which is forward! :) Today I’m gonna knock out my biceps/triceps, throw in some ab work and finish it all off with some HIIT cardio. Let’s do this! :D I’ll come back later and blog how I feel after my workout tonight.

The IMPORTANCE of Family

Family is so important! Who else do you have during trials, tribulations, and the happy times? Your family should be your rock when you have no one else to lean on and to give you that gentle push that we all need at some point along the way. My father is a great Christian man who really does love me. I know this and I have no question as to if he does. However he NEVER calls me to see how I’m doing, how my day went or simply ask how are you doing in school. The times I do talk to him are on his birthday, my birthday and Father’s Day. It really hurts me to know that he will not pick up the phone to see how is daughter is doing. I want to share my life experiences with him but it seems that he doesn’t reach out to me. I feel as if history is repeating itself and he is doing the same thing that he did to his own father.  I also have 2 older sisters that each have children. One of them has 4 kids the other 3 kids. I only talk or see them at Christmas. I have tried many times to reach out to them but they will not reiterate it back. Their kids do not know me and it is so sad! I hate that I have to carry this on my shoulders and it is really draining. I understand I should let go. I am 30 years old for crying out loud!!  It seems like I give, give and give some more but never reap anything back. I look at others families, and see how they are so close knit and that is what I long for.  I know it is something that I must accept and move on from but it still comes back to try to get me down. That is why this time I am writing about it rather than sulking and becoming depressed! I totally understand that everyone has a different upbringing and has had different challenges growing up, but sometimes I feel that I am the only one. I know I’m not but everyone at some point feels that way. The “oh woe is me” pity party! I am one to wallow in pity at times but I’m not going to let this get me down. I am a stronger person than that and I refuse to let anything, anyone or any situation bring me down anymore. What I will do is use it to fuel my desire to be all that I can be and all that I want to be. I will end this blog on a note that I LOVE my mom!! She is my rock and has always been there for me!!

Okay so today was the 2nd time doing Stevep78’s leg workout! LEt me tell you it is not your everyday leg workout.  Your heart rate is up the entire time and you are drenched in sweat before you walk out of the gym! It is the shit!! I am going to see such awesome results from this plan!!  I am lifting heavier each time and plan to keep bumping up the weight each time to build more muscle! Here was my workout today:

Lunges- 5 sets- length of aerobics room and back was one set 

Leg Extention- 4X 25 (35, 50, 50 lbs)

Squats- 6X 15- (145 lbs) [Wide stance toes pointed out, close stance]

Leg Press- 5X 15 (180, 180, 180, 230, 230 lbs)

Leg Curls- 4 X15 (35, 50 lbs)

Standing calf raises- 4 x 15 (100, 120, 140, 140 lbs)

Straight leg dead lifts- 4 X15 (50 lbs)

 

Finished off with 10 minutes on the elipital machine.  I also worked in some abs among the leg exercises to give them a rest! Can’t wait for another  leg workout which will be on Wednesday.  These muscles needs some rest!!

I am so thrilled and siked to be part of the "DO WORK TEAM"… I can definately identify with getting it in even when I don’t feel like it.  What did you say… I don’t feel like working out.. I’m tired.. SUCK IT UP & GET YOUR ASS IN THE GYM!!  Being a part of this group has given me a newfound energy and pump that is only gonna get stronger! Shredded body here I come baby… WATCH OUT!!

Body Fat

Ok so tomorrow I get my body fat tested.  I haven’t had it tested in 2 years, I know really bad! It was at 18% then so I am hoping it has dramatically dropped! I have lost weight and inches since 2 years ago so I would be thrilled if it was at 15% now.  My goal is 12%.  I’m ready for a kickass workout today to get the weekend started the right way! Hope everyone is doing well, reaching for the stars and remembering to keep your eye on the goal.

I Killed it!!

The only way I can describe my workout yesterday was that I KILLED IT, and I loved every freakin minute of it!!  It was abs and cardio.  I did 10 sprints and 20 minutes worth of abs and man can I feel it today!!  Things are just getting better and better each and every workout.  I have more energy and even more want to do get the job done and then sum!! I am currently taking D4 Thermal shock by Cellucor and this stuff is simply amazing!!  I have lost 2 pounds since Friday and I am losing inches all over.  I have lost an inch off my waist.  I highly encourage you to check this stuff out.  It is worth every penny!!!! Hope everyone had a killer workout as well and have a blessed night… :D

Day 1- Training w/ Goddess Athlete… (Legs & Shoulders)

WOW!!!! I am whooped!!!!  Today was my official day 1 of training with Goddess Athlete and she kicked my butt!! I am loving the workout.  My heartrate was up the entire time and I was sweating like no other!!  It was an awesome workout and I can’t wait to go back tomorrow to do it all over again.  :D   This was definately the change that I needed and I know that my body is going to respond to this.  Definately check her out if you want to take your body to the next level!!  I think I am going to drag myself to the couch and lay down now..

What a perfect day!!

Wow.. What a perfect day!! The high is set for 65 degress.  It is absolutely gorgeous outside and I can’t wait to get outside to feel the sunshine on my face.  I have been struggling with some personal issues going on in my life but I just remind myself that each day is a new day and that things will only get better and better as each day passes.  I will be stronger, more driven, and better off if I live each day to the fullest and focus on all the awesome things that I have in my life.  Goddess Athlete is designing a workout plan for me and I hope to start it on Sunday at the latest Monday and I am gonna rock out!!!  Check back up on me and watch my total body transformation.  Well I can’t take it anymore… I have to get outside!!  Hope everyone has a great day!!! :D :D

I had the most amazing leg workout today.  I kicked ass in the gym and I am so stoked.  I was lifting heavier than ever today.  I’m not sure if it has anything to do with me taking a pre-workout supplement by Cellucor or if it’s the fact that I am just getting stronger.  I squated 45 pound plates on each side on squats! YEAH for me!! :D That is a huge jump from what I have been doing. I think it boils down that I haven’t been challenging myself in the gym enough.  Well all that changes today after seeing the gains that I have made so far.  I did 95 pounds on the leg extentions.  To some this might not be a lot but to me… it is HUGE!! I am so excited.  I am getting stronger, leaner and I can’t wait to see what I will look like a month from now.  Well off to a great Superbowl party!!!  :)
