Road Bumps
Life just keeps throwing ‘em, but I’m still here.
I had a very severe and very rare reaction to the anti-depressants called "tardive dystonia." Physically, it’s like having seizures except you are conscious the entire time. Needless to say, I’ve started weaning myself off the meds. Now I’m dealing with withdrawal symptoms - nausea, lightheadedness, etc. - but hopefully they won’t last way too long. It’s been next to impossible for me to workout while going through this, but I’m refusing to let myself be beat by anything anymore. I’m just going to weather the storm, and then get right back to my routine when it’s over.
How do you guys make the most of sick time?

sorry to hear about your reaction. On the rare occassion i do get sick I find that plenty of rest and proper nutrition are the biggest keys to recovery. I’m not a big fan of taking pharmacy style medicine, so I try to go natural as much as possible. hope this helps

Wow! I’am so sorry to hear that you contracted that rare illness that sucks. I never really get sick but one time I tore up my shoulders once and I was out for like 6 months but It was killing me that i couldnt lift but what helped me was being around friends and family to give me support oh and plenty of rest always seems to work too. well I am glad to hear you have an up beat attitude tho things will get better. well get well soon

Thanks guys. I’m starting to feel a bit better. I think I’m good enough to get back to my workouts again, finally, and I could definitely use the energy boost before my photo shoot tonight.
