Feeling good for a change!

You know, sometimes you just need someone to say "good job" and last night I had a client go "man, suz, your arms are looking really awesome".  That’s all I needed! I feel so much better. Been a little depressed about how I my crazy schedule let my body kinda go but I’m back to being focused and I love it.  I’m down 6 lbs!

I love getting ready for competition.  Sounds nutty, but it’s really a game you play with yourself. 

And for the record–OKAY I ADMIT it, I cheated once last week on the diet……ahhh!

New Year means NEW GOALS!

A new year means new goals and I couldn’t be more excited!  I am starting a new cheer and tumbling program at the gym I work at and it has been a long time goal to actually own my own business instead of working for other programs–so here it goes!  I don’t have specific competition goals as far as placing–I want to have fun, look great and feel strong.  This year isn’t about winning, it’s about being healthy and making my support team proud. Happy New Year!!

Okay, so the diet is tough and it is by far the hardest thing I have to do for my training.  I can lunge all day but to eat eight times a day and it NOT include some pizza–wow, it’s killing me. LOL  What has really helped me is reading profiles of people I look up to or whom I have met–If they can do it, surely I can!!  Today I could hardly finish my sweet potatoes and my four year old comes over and goes "mom, better eat that for your bicep." LOL  The kids is hilarious.  Off to eat more fish!

So in case you didnt know…

So, just wanted to put this in writing bc I am one of those people that once i say I’m going to do something–I REALLY do it no matter what hurdles hit me.

 

Well, just wanted to declare that for once, I am going to stick to a diet plan, I’m going to hit my workouts hard and I’m going to be the best role model my clients and children have ever seen.  Discipline is about to take on a new form.  This weekend is going to change the way I treat my body and I cant wait.

 

Oh yes, and I WILL be taking home some trophies come April……

 

 

Discouraged somewhat

Got the costume–doesn’t fit.

Got the music–not exactly what I want.

 Practiced this morning and fell directly on my face for a one arm pushup and couldn’t get the pike or straddle up than more than a second.  Ugh-really, this bites.

Count down begins…

So this month I have ordered music and costume. I have gotten a pretty lame one arm push down and a pathetic looking straddle hold. I am doing the splits daily. Still not all the way to the ground but I’m working on it.  Next is the pike hold–I’ll start working on it next week. 

 

I’m getting nervous. I know that once I get my music that things will get better but I just don’t want to be one of those girls on YouTube that you watch in a fitness contest that is not "sharp" or "polished".  I want my first to be as perfect as I can get it!

I had the stomach bug for three weeks and just when I thought I was "better", got a good routine wrote down, etc.  I had lost some muscle from taking almost a month off working out and then it happened–I totaly forgot I had mopped my stairs and went slip and slidding down them.  OMG, this has been worse than child birth.  At first I was told I may have chipped my pelvis but the second set of x-rays came back fine.  I can’t hardly walk and the pain is just insane.  For the first time ever, I want pain meds! LOL.  I just decided that this maybe a set back but no way is it stopping me from doing a fitness routine in April. If I dont do this now,  I really don’t know when I will so full speed ahead!

Not much progress…

I thought if I stopped working one 40 hour a week job, I would have time to actually devote to workouts but that has proven to be untrue.  It is strange to train clients all day long in the gym and never lift a weight for myself.  My diet has sucked and I’ve gained.  I don’t look bad but I know what my body looks best at and I am 7 lbs over that.  So, I gotta get my butt in gear or there is no way I can compete the end of August.  Time will tell…..
