1st day of ab specifics…

  I completed my abs routine first in the workout yesterday and then finished shoulders fairly strong,  missed my HIIT because wife wanted to leave.  I must applaud myself for a good day nutrition wase too.  I kept protein high, carbs medium, and fat low.  Three protein shakes down the hatch along with a solid breakfast and 2 protein packed meals throughout day.  I resisted the urges to eat late. 

 

Now today I have not done so well,  no breakfast because I had to take my car in for service.  No shakes today yet.  Fish for lunch ( mahi- mahi) and burgers from 93% lean beef for dinner. Protein shake after workout this evening but I still will need to take on more protein to make up for missing breakfast.

The new PLAN

As previously stated I intend to start an ab specific plan to combat my winter coat.  This is 35 days of solid nutrition with no cheating–very strict in diet and form.  For these 35 days I will do a full ab routine first every other workout day,  allowing 48 hours or recovery for this area as I anticipate soreness :) .

Ab Routine will consist of:  (Rest is 60 secs between sets)

Hanging Knee Raise 3 sets 10 reps

Lying Cable Crunch 3 sets 10 reps

Decline-Bench Crunch 3 sets 20 reps

Crunch  3 sets 20 reps

In addition to incorporating this PLAN of action I also intend to give cardio a full thrttle attack.  20-30 min. HIIT training after workouts.  If I can’t do 20 min I will break these up into three 10 minute bouts to begin.  I do not do enough cardio and this should not overdue it and shut me into cataolism as long as I eat clean and keep caloric intake mid to high.

I have slipped

my diet has been pretty much eat what I want to and it was fine until a week and some days went by with no workouts.  I went to Texas to visit family.  My wife’s step mother keeps mad sweets in the house and I ate candy and junkfood for 10 days.  Meal timing and schedule was way off and many of my meals were in restraunts or take out.  Now muscles look soft and round and my midsection is full of excess chunk now.  I would take a pic to show but it is too embarasing to admit I let it go that bad.  To combat this new area of trouble I am incorporating a new plan.  Abs first when time is present and energy is high because otherwise I will do what I have always done and make them lowest priority.   Time to shred.  Summer is coming.

1st workout in weeks

If thats what you would call 2 sets of incline barbell presses and 2 sets of dumbbell flat bench presses, 4 set of wide grip pull ups, and 2 sets of hanging knee raises.  I took a thermogenic product, Fyre, in addition to 2 M5 packets and 5 P6 Black.  25 minutes into the workout I was beadding up with sweat and overall not feeling well at all so I stopped and came home. 

I believe I did stimulate some growth because I am sore in the chest area again for the first time in a long time.  My Lats feel good todya too.  Tomorrow I plan to do an all out assault for shock to  my system.  i have been reading alot of periodocals on lifting from many differnet publishers and am eager to try new methods for growth.

Appologies to BB.com

I did not mean to offend anyone here at bb.com by trying to tell others about Cellucor and the results that I have experienced in the 40 short days I have been on their products.  I wish that your site did carry these products as I have seen remarkable changes in strength and physique.  I only recently became an affiliate of this company and was by no means trying to pimp product by telling of my honest experiences.  I promote the BSN line up that you do carry, as well as Gaspari products, MuscleTech, and recently Cellucor…. try to put it out there what is Hot and works and what is Not and doesn’t.  I have never even sold a single product thus far for Cellucor…online or off.  Anyhow, my sincerest appologies for offending anyone and I have complied to the full extent of your request for my infraction in the forum area.

Full Body Assault

 This plan has me going hard all over my body all the time.  It requires one day on and one day off, which is a new concept to me, but my body is resonding very well.   In fact better than it has been doing a split that works only specific bodyparts daily.  I hit up the legs first for a few sets of moderate to light weight.  2 sets heavy and then go torch my upper body with 15-20 working sets for various bodyparts!  Shock is what it is offering.  My body is having to recover all over too.  Thus I am staying much sorer for much longer but I believe NO PAIN NO GAIN!  Even though I was at gym for 2 hours yesterday I plan to return once agian this evening and do some light leg work, heavy calf work, and shoulders/traps.  Follow this up with the therapeutic experience of bliss…the whirlpool tub.  :)   My reward for hard work.

A superior magazine.  I have been educating myself through periodicals for years but never gave Iron Man Magazine a glance.  What the heck?  I have been missing an abundance of information and a very different approach and views than other magazines.  Mostly I have stuck to Muscle & Fitness and Flex but the articles in IM are much more informative IMO.  I had been a loyal M&F subscriber for 6 years too.  Just letting all of you know that knowledge is still power and IM magazines are full of it.  Happy hunting and Get Growing!

Incline Dumbbell Curls?

What a great thing here.  Pump and a stretch that will make your biceps scream the following day.  I paired Chest with biceps yesterday for the first time ever and I can see why so many people divide their split like this.  I had a great workout.  Full body assault and in and out in under an hour.  Funny thing is that I have never tried the incline dumbbell curl…wish I had implimented it months ago and my arms would be well over 15"

I also want to use more preacher and spider curls for extra mass.  21’s work well for me but they over train me sometimes too.
