Keeping your eyes on the prize!

Choosing to live a healthy and fit lifestyle can be really challenging. I don’t know how many times I tried to lose weight in the past. I have been the poster child for diets, magic pills and weight managing teas. It has taken me a while to finally figure it out. You can’t lose weight by exercising and then going to Burger King to get a whopper ( with cheese). Sad but true! For the longest I figured that I could eat whatever I wanted as long as I exercised but I quickly found out that the equation I had formulated was sooooo off. I soon found out the formula for weight loss is so simple. Regular exercising and eating right is what  does the job.

Keeping your eyes on the prize is very important. So many times I have wanted to end my workouts early or not even go to workout that day. Then I remind myself about my fitness goals and how I use to be. No one can want something for you more than you want it for yourself. If you don’t see you being successful, how can others?  Some people can eat what ever they want and not gain a single pound. However, I do not fall into that category. Some of us (including myself) have to work hard for our accomplishments. Although I have not completely reached my goal, I am so happy I am not where I use to be and I am more than confident with my ability to be a fitness success. One thing in life that I will always remember is, " A dreamer just dreams, A thinker just thinks but A doer realizes their dreams and sets out to make them a reality"
