Another post already
Well at the moment when my motivation to train is on a high just happens to coincide with a knee that doesn’t work. When I posted about it last weekend it was sore but not too bad. That night it really stiffened up and felt like it had been twisted and then crushed in a vice. I saw the doctor about it on Monday who took all of about 3 seconds to diagnose it as bursitis and prescribe anti inflamatories and rest.
He had me worried to start with though as soon as I said I had aggravated it on the bike he said I had to stop that. I thought he meant permanently! He clarified that to about a week or so. Which is about how often I get on the bike anyway. Although a week without squatting is a more serious matter
It has settled down a fair bit now but not quite enough for me to be happy to get out on the bike this weekend. I can still feel it and whilst I was training arms yesterday I threw in a set of light leg presses to test it and whilst the set was easy as soon as I stood up you could feel it stiffen up so no good but I don’t imagine it will hold me back for too much longer.
Everything else has been ok. Still trained the upper body this week. I have tightened up my diet alot this past two week too which I think I can start to see some results in and right now I am itching for the gym to happen in a few hours so I can get a bench in.

Hey Ryan, look after yourself.
Yes, it is frustrating not being able to train. Focus on the things you can do and let your body recover so that you CAN get back to training.

listen to veronique, listen to your body. Take it slow and reap the benefits later.

I’m like you, cannot stand to be waylaid from my training and will often train when I shouldn’t (like I am right now with my back in a major tantrum). Hope you are all better now!
